i used to be less than 100% with this phone in latest jelly bean sony update. Then i tried unlocking the bootloader, then i rooted, then i flashed a custom KITKAT ROM!
wow! all apps loaded perfectly - whatsapp, viber, bbm running at the same time, with swiftkey as well. - couldn't do that with jelly bean. AND no Sony marketing hype bloatware, memory improved, battery 15 hours between charging. all thumbs up.
hardware specs is really only half the story. the software also makes for a better performing phone.

kokos, 13 Jun 2014you can't do ANYTHING! Even if you do, the microphone will ... moreignorance will make your life really miserable. learn how to unlock bootloader, root, and flash a custom rom. your xgo will feel BRAND NEW, believe me.

Rkram, 24 Jun 2014how to upgrade this android ice creamsandwich to kitkat versiongo here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/xperia-u/go-development all the kitkat cutting-edge roms there. i recommend CM11 STE or AOSX, as i personally found those more stable

wezo, 26 Jun 2014Not waterproof at all and not even guaranteed for water. Ga... moreyour so wrong! it is waterproof. I swim with it, take pictures under water, even take calls underwater. USB and earplug sockets must be sealed, of course.

SomeGuy, 28 Jun 2014Horrible phone. Especially after the update to Android 4.1.... moreyou should learn to flash custom rom. i was not too happy with Sony stock rom, even with the latest v.1.100 update. So i went shopping at xda website. Now very smooth, excellent battery, feels like NEW!!

have your say, 29 Jun 2014what an awful phone! Sony sell bad touchscreen phone!what are you talking about? my xgo is 2 years old, no issues with screen. you should take care of your phone, maybe you drop it or rough with it. it is like a puppy, handle with care

I have bought this phone 2yrs ago and it has been very well since then. I have updated it to jb and the works pretty well. Sometimes it acts abnormally like, at night its battery is 54% and at morning it is switched off(0%) . All games run on it smoothly big games like most wanted.,gta vice city also run on it. Camera quality is pretty well but not that much at night. Battery back is ok ok. Fb, whatsapp,bbm,etc all run smoothly,and the best thing about this phone is its toughness my phone has fallen about 1000 times but nothing at all has happened to it. Its purely waterproof but you have to keep the ports closed. The looks of this phone are awsome. All in all its a nice budget smartphone

It's 100% wterproof,i dive into the sea with it and it works underwater.when i buy it ,i had some issues,but after a update,it works good.his minority is that does not have front camera for 3g & skype calls

Horrible phone. Especially after the update to Android 4.1.2. Slow, slow, slow! It takes around 5 seconds since you slide to answer the call until it establishes the connection. Unbelievable! How they allowed this update to be released to this phone?...

Not waterproof at all and not even guaranteed for water. Gave in my phone at Sterns and still waiting for response. There answer only waterproof for 1 month.

How about the power of battery if we use for a... moreafter they reset my phone, because I was told that the solution for the problems the phone had, was the fact that I have downloaded Viber, so I had to reset the phone, I had the phone charged 100%. I talked after 2-3 hours for 3 MINUTES and the battery collapsed. I didn't use either wifi, bluetooth, gps, compass, radio, camera or anything else. The only thing i did was to use the phone for 3 minutes. Does this tell you something about the battery life?
