To my knowledge, HTC One S and Xperia S share the same hardware (same chip, same RAM, same processor clock speed) so I'm not sure how it is faster than Xperia S. Also, I'm livig in Dubai (UAE) and over here the One S is actually cheaper by nearly $65 than the Xperia S.

I am using Android phones for few years now, started with Galaxy S1, then S2 and finally S3, in between soiled my hands with HTC Sensation XL & One X ... while HTC could not last long in my stable due to loads of issues in first few days of use only ... Samsung Products remained trusted choice as could not find any other good option in my GEO! However in AV front I am an avid SONY FAN for almost 10 years ... all my AV gadgets are from SONY, so last week I grabbed XPERIA Sola & ion together to experience SONY in Android, while Sola is still in good books of mine, Ion has given enough headache in 1st 48 hrs itself ... major issue with NW coverage ... returning the box today & won't go back on such High End SONY Device till they are stable

I have Used both xperia S and S3, have used S2 as well, but frankly speaking i have found Xperia S far more superior than S3 or for that matter many other phones of same class, build quality, display, OS stability etc.
even pc companion is far more stable than Kies, It has hardly happened that pc companion did not detect my phone, never it has happened that my xperia backup or restore failed neither any update gave any issue if installing through pc companion on other hand Kies had been a night mare for me in all respects.
