The closest thing that the international customers will be able to purchase is the Xperia S.
Xperia S is NOT the same as the Xperia ION but it will be the closest thing possible without spending the $600 that i mentioned earlier. Its either the Xperia S or the $600 unlocked ION for the international customers. The ION will come from AT&T for a US only release.

RedChicken, 20 Mar 2012I've been checking this phone's specs for about a month and... moreyeah. The xperia ion will be a US only release. The phone will not be release internationally but there is an unlocked version of the phone for about $600.00 USD.
The unlocked version is supposedly able to work with most of the European networks and some of the Asian networks though which ones haven't been annouced.
Furthermore, the unlock will work on T-mobile in the US but it will NOT support T-mobile 3G. So in other words if you use it for T-mobile and dont have 4G coverage (LTE or H+), 3G will not work by default and you will be stuck with the amazing speed of the EDGE network...............

only this & the skyrocket hd have caught my eye this year so far, would love to see a comparison review so that I can make a final decision on which one to get.

I've been checking this phone's specs for about a month and a half. Then i found out that it only works in USA using AT&T. This amazing phone should work world wide. Huge problem.

for any model, screen size should not be more than 4 inches for ladies. 4 inches size is ideal.

spec wise, it also has a much better battery... but we all know that's never how it is once u use it.

Much better than other new Sony phones. Too bad you have to sell your soul to AT&T to get one.

Xperia ION should be released in April! With Xperia S now launching everywhere these 2 weeks, ION shouldn be far away!
