Ion's battery is really bad, but compare to the battery of any iphones. This is much better. I hope and i wish, that all manufacturers make a phone that has sufficient battery. instead of making slim/thin phones that dont have enough battery capacity to last even a whole day. Id rather use a thick smartphone than use a phone that is slim that will not last a day. We dont really need a slim/thin/lightweight phone. As long as it is a smartphone that has a large battery that will last atleast 2 days or more with heavy use..

I'm using this phone from a year, I love this phone, Camera and screen are awesome, i liked it's sqaure look, yes, battery backup cud have been better. i don't have any problem till now.

Very Wrost mobile battery backup very poor and network problem means this mobile have lots of problem actually i m using very bad experience with xperia ion

Aks, 19 Oct 2013Aks Hi Guys, M using this mobile from last 6 mnths & ... moremy dear, you cannot free the rest 300+ memory. Bcs the OS has already occupied it. If u want more memory then better think of downgrading ur phone to gingerbread or froyo...

Had mine about a year-
Pros:
Durable
Large screen
Looks good
High software + hardware specs + Android OS = Can run almost all apps you have without problems
Super HD
Good camera + 3D photo taking + panorama which is pretty cool
Cons:
Battery life is not very good
Looks good but hard to find + purchase a cover
Screen is easily scratched
Display makes all movies look really dark and shadowy
Camera auto focus doesnt work very good
OS generally runs smoothly but phone can occasionally start overheating, drain battery really fast, run slowly, shutdown/open apps... I like the OS but this happens VERY OCCASIONALLY

i got this phone just 2 months ago and now it's not working even the phone doesnot switch on????what is the problem with this phone??is it about the software update or anything else???

I bought my Ion (AT&T) a year and a half ago, and have been extremely pleased with it. Very durable, the Bravia color engine is vivid, and is very responsive on Jelly Bean.
For those with battery issues:
-Go to the phone's "Settings" app
-Scroll all the way to the bottom and select "Developer options"
-Once again, scroll all the way down to the bottom until you reach the "APPS" section.
1) Under "Background process limit", select "At most 1 process". This will kill all battery-draining apps, except for the last app you opened. This will allow you to download updates when the phone is idle.
2) In the same "APPS" section, right below the above step, is "Show all ANRs". This will bring unresponsive/crashed apps to the foreground and allow you to terminate them: another battery-saving feature (should you have buggy apps).

I own the phone & i like it. Talking about the poor performance of battery then don't play games or internet, it will work well. This is a drawback of smart phone (android base) due to multi tasking nature of it

AnonD-180463, 30 Aug 2013hey to save battery life,use gsm only mode when u dont use ... moreI recently purchased the Sony Xperia LT28at mobile being unaware of its poor performance in battery.Without using any application ,with out inserting any sim just in stand by position it is lasting hardly for 10 hours.This is rediculous.
I have stopped all the app features running background reduced the brightness using static wallpapers.Still it is showing same.
Have seen in post that its battery lasting for a day.
Can some one say how to increase its battery performance.?? or is this feature a backdrop of this mobile . ?????
