Ayan, 01 Aug 2013So u trying to says Xl lacks good display quality bcz it d... moreI'm sure you will not miss Bravia Engine when you use Xperia L.. display quality of XL is great..gaming resolution and video resolutions are much more than expected..and the good about it,it does not lag and plays smooth..
XSP is better than XL,its a fact..but if you're having trouble with your budget, go for XL..i'm sure you will love it! hit me back if i'm right.. ^_^

I bought this phone on 7 July 2013 and have had some battery problem a bit strong battery will be good, And Today i.e. 1 August 2013 i start having white strips all over the screen had to take to Sony Service Center and it will take 10 to 12 days to repair the phone and give it back to me. Phone didnt fell, no water went in it, i was just updating applications and suddenly 2 to 5 seconds freeze and white strips appear.

Dont buy xperia L,I made a mistake by buying this phone.you cannot transfer application ot app data or anything to your sd card.u can use sdcard to put media content only.no apps can help u transfer data to externalsd card because this stupid phone has two internal memories,device memory-1.57gb and internal memory 4.01gb.u can only install limited apps!!.:(

After doing a lot of research I hv choose galaxy grand over xperia l. The price difference is jst 2k but grand is way awesome. The main advantages are
5'' screen with good display
Better camera.
Hd video recording.
Touchwiz ui which is lot better than timescape.
Easily available accessories.
4:1 service centres in my region.
Benchmarks increased a lot after jb 4.2.2 test rom update.
Official jb 4.2.2 is at verge.
These are the reasons why I chose galaxy grand over xperia.

GalleryDX was a feature of a Custom ROM called GingerDX(from xda-developer.com) i used it on my Xperia X8.. maybe i just extracted it from my kernel and installed it on my XL.. i will try to upload it when i have the time..you could post your gmail/email here so that i could send it to you..

my Xperia L does not drain that fast..i would like to ask somebody if it is possible that by disabling an application may result to that system continuously calls out that application,making it a cycle and thus, keep the system running..
Just in case,try to see the running applications on the settings..You might end all your application on the right most soft key pop-up,but there might still be running apps on the background.. ^_^

and ignore my previous post,( i read the battery drainage difference wrongly)

AnonD-170584, 01 Aug 2013Hi, How to improve my battery backup in Xperia L. Battery d... moreIt should'nt behave like that ..i suppose, for me even with many apps on and with flight mode disabled ( ie. phone is in normal mode) battery drains by some 2-7% in 7-9 hours of inactivity.
May be you should check the battery health of your phone ( use CPU-Z app or any other thing)
Also do check whether ur phone is hooked up to ur WIFI network.
Worst case, take it to a service centre. ( since u have mentioned you have turned off all unnecessary apps)

Hi, How to improve my battery backup in Xperia L. Battery drains very fast. I had reduced my brightness to 0%, disabled all unwanted inbuilt apps, switched to flight mode at night time, switched ON all power management systems etc.. It was 88% at 11:15 PM and it drains to 74% at 8:45 AM without eben touching the mobile.
