Im confused choosing between xperia l and m, xperia l has many major advantages but in other hand, it stuck on jb 4.2.2 while m get 4.3, please help me

of course we wont get satisfied with any kind of phone unless it is made by us.
any ways i wanted to give my experience useing sony xperia l for the past 10 days.
battery back up is too bad,
hangs sometimes
gprs is too slow in 2g and i tried 3g also
but the speed is average only
sound quality is not good. i dont know th problem with the mobile or sony headset.
style is good
camera is good
my openion is by this amount you can go far anything better than this.........

Everything is cool in dis handset bt once i reset it after dat m not able to see my contacts nd nw a few days m again reset it bt no advantage same problem persists help me frm dis prob plz plz plz

my device is at android 4.1.2 with build 15.0.A.2.17 ..i want to root my device can anyone help me. do i have to really unlock bootloader in order to root(cuz i heard that unlocking bootloader will bootloop my device) ?? how can i unlock/relock bootloader ?? can we unroot the rooted device ??
p.s. i am new to this android stuff ..hope you people will help me

U can taste kitkat on your xperia L through cyanogen mod11 or through pac man, omni rom, carbon rom,slimbean etc....go to xda forum. ..u will find all of them...u just need some knowledge abt rooting, flashing, custom rom, custom kermel, clockwork mode recovery etc e.c..these r not too hard to do..just need some patient and intelligence

Been using XpL for 1year..current firmware is 15.3.A.1.12. Overall is ok, bug is minor (cached data increasing everyday, need to clean up) Just that Sony refuse to update to 4.3 or 4.4 ... Yes it has nice design and UI but Awful front canera..but now at cheaper price we can get better specs phone than this... Considering Asus Zen5 now
