Mine is constantly restarting, it turns on for a minute each time then restarts, the last thing i did was attempt to connect to bus wifi while listening to music.

This phone is absolute trash. I never ever write reviews on phones but I want to warn people thinking of buying this over a actual SMARTphone. (besides I have time because right now my phone is in the freezer, good job Sony!) So the phone started out normal, blah blah blah here are the issues:
1) Storage & Memory (I downloaded three apps and its done! Won't detect SD)
2) Camera (The front camera is sh** if you post a pic with it you will be bullied by other android device users, and iPhone users will tell you to kill yourself.)
2.5) Another issue is at one point my phone overheated and the cameras, and flash stopped working from that day on, never to work again. (This happens with many different Xperia models do your homework ;)
3) The battery (So, the battery has always died pretty quickly and charged quickly. Brightness = lowest setting, screen timeout 30m. But the thing is is worked...for a while but after I realized the battery is fck'd. It dies really quickly. I had it in the wall for over an hour today after it died, and nothing happened! There's nothing wrong with the charger! The phone was still dead. I had the phone on and charging this morning. I had no apps open except the music app I was listening to. I turned the screen off! And lemme mention again THE PHONE WAS "CHARGING" and the battery went from 72 to 69 in a few minutes. Uh uh sorry papi but I don't mess with a phone who's battery level decreases as it is plugged in!
The phone is trash, buy something else!

Before 2 years
Excellent camera quality
Great speed NO LAGS AT ALL
Idiotic unnecessary bugs
After 2 years :
Android stabilised.. No bugs.
Camera quality decreased lot. Not sharp images as before. Maybe because of scratches on lines or phone became old.
Phone freezes. No hangs at all.
However, its the best midrange fone at this price with a top brand.sony. Once u love it.u'll never stop lovin it.xl sound loud than z series and m
Call quality is just awesome.noise cancellation thanks lot.i am happy with stock rom.and not at all in desire or hope for latest version.
Front camera. U cant blame it after you buy it after already knowing it.
Battery fine. Stamina mode thanks very much efficenct.yes touch is sensitive.use sgs touch screen booster.
Storage is fine if u are in patience to frequently transfering apps,data to sdcard using es,deleteing - .thumbnails folder often. Keeping all possible apps default storage to sd. Clearing cache,resetting app prefernces,clear data for all unnecessary apps,not updating apps u dont use,disable auto update apps from Playstore.
Sony apps walkman. Movies,track id,perfectly clear,neo reader,sketch,sony music etc and small apps also awesome.
Great to find features of a high end fone in mid range one: nfc,screen mirroring,throw setting,playstation certified.
Can play 1080p vids smoothly on mx player pro.
Led notification light.love it.big and bright
Scratch resistant glass actually does its work.no scratches.
Observed that my xl actually drags the wifi signals stronger than other androids i used.
Curvy design and size comfratble and nice to look at.
Flash light.. Very brighter than i anyone i bet.the metal ring round the lens i think will be able to support small magnetic camera lens
Quick camera button.nice.
Hardware ofsony unbeatable. Software should be bug free and fast in updates.
However, if you are a developer or like experimenting with software it doesn't cooperate well.if rooted,random restarts,atleast for me.i no need but
Still some bugs should be resolved atleast.Please do it sony,no need of software updates.please fix bugs like
When u cut call when screen on. Proximity sensor doesn't off.
.thumbnails eating storage a lot
For all phones sony default camera prob : delay in 2 or 3 secs for capturing pic and also loading at bottom right corner
Etc are some.please fix

1) In internal storage ,DCIm folder might have occupied many GB of memory except photos.Move every photos and delete tat folder.
2)In settings ---> storage---> Internal-->Misc , Miscallenous storage would have estrongs or some thing like tat delete tat.

My phone's internal memory suddenly became 0.0b, can't access anything in internal memory, this includes photos, apps etc. When I connect phone via usb, I can see internal memory. I can see memory card files, but memory card became read only, that means I can't take photos, delete or add files in memory card. Do you know any solution? Thanks.

It says 1gb ram and 8gb internal. Isn't it 2gb ram and 4gb internal?
I've been using it for 2+yrs and it is good except for battery /heating issues. Though, i must say I used it too much. On an average, More than 12+ hours of hay day and coc each day, for about 8 months. I'd advise to go for cyanogenmod atleast after the first year. Only then you can use its fullest capacity, getting rid of bloatwares.
