Hello I am an xperia L user..
I wudnt say the phone is extraordinary but for the price it's pretty damn good!
For few of the questions asked,
>video calling is possible with a 3rd party app and good 3G or wifi!
>photos can be hidden with a 3rd party app to hide photos.
>music sound is not so great I have compared with many friends phones and it sucks to be the worst with sound!
>camera quality is good..Front camera sucks!
>connectivity to NFC,Bluetooth,wifi,3G/2G or any other connection is excellent!
>back panel being matt (mine is rose red) is getting a little dull so I guess the black would be a best choice although red looks super!
>screen is really strong and no tension of it cracking etc.
>OS updates available and it really is good at performance!
I have used an Xperia Arc before this so this phone is actually much better for the price difference..
Try it and trust me there are no regrets for it..good phone good price!

??, 04 Apr 2014Hi is this better than Samsung Galaxy WIN?of course Xperia L is better than galaxy win. galaxy win uses adreno 203 while L uses Adreno 305 which is newer and better for gaming.
galaxy win uses an older chipset even if it had quadcore the chipset is pretty old hence the performance is medicore. while Xperia L uses S4 chipset a newer variant than what galaxy win has.
Xperia L has more internal memory too.
xperia L can record video @ 720p@30fp while win can only record 480p@30fps.
