galaxy s d... moreIt happens that I own an xpM and my gf own the S Duos 2. both have decent display. I'm answering on the thought that this will be the price range you can afford and these 2 are your rival choices.
-RAM: keep in mind that S duos has 768 RAM while xpM has 1G RAM, if you are the type that doesn't force stop application these factor can affect your decision and will definitely go xpM, however S duos 2 has shortcut killing application and some how suffices. we clan say its par but xpM has slight advantages
-Storage: Storage capacity is not my concern so i chose xpM, in xpM you cannot transfer Apps into SD while you can in S duos 2 you can transfer "partial" of the applications installed saving more space on the internal storage. my gf prefer installing more games in her phone (kinda envy her sometimes). we are for S duos 2 here.
-Camera: S duos 2 has better default camera (in my opinion) its auto mode is very easy to use and clear while xpM auto mode is crap but you can have better and clearer shots in Manual if you have some knowledge in photography, but in night both are terrible but S duos 2 some how manage to capture clearer. we vote for S duos 2
-Call, Music & Battery: both are decent in calls but xpM's loudspeaker and default music player is way better than S duos 2 has. but some xpM has terrible call conversation when the phone gets hot (i nvr experience that in my case). xpM has better battery than s duos 2, xpM default battery saver is good, while s duos 2 battery can drain easily in extensive use. but there are powerbanks anyway. and it seems the broadcom proc of samsung doesn't go idle when not in use. we both go for xpM
-Functionality: xpM has a decent UI (better than xpL) and S duos 2 has simple UI. my gf and I prefer xpM UI in terms of decency and organizing. but S duos has better shortcut options than xpM. S duos 2 has built in Caller block while xpM doesn't. S duos has better default programs than xpM. in terms of functionality we both go for S duos 2.
so there is my opinion. my gf and i sometimes switch phones to see whats what. we both recommend S duos 2 for users that do not prefer to have the luxurious lifestyle. xpM has advantages in terms of software updates and integration with sony devices but that is if you have the pocket for those device.

for those having a limited data but are eager to update 4.3 jb in their xperia m ....... go for airtel night pack (call *129#) select night pack and select 1gb 3g data@49rs ( starts from midnight 12 to 6) just restart ur phone after 12:00am and you are ready to go...... update xperia m 4.3 jb @500kb/s will complete in 20 minutes... enjoy

after updating to 4.3, camera seems improved. RAM has more free space. walkman and photo viewer look better. almost perfect, just the heating and battery draining remain the same.

Anubhav, 12 May 2014A white line appears while gaming and continued surfing on ... moreu may have to format ur memory card and also format ur phone coz it could be a virus problem.......... As myslef have face this kind of problem like my phone use to switch off itself and on turning on it would stuck on sony logo and would repeat the process automatically whole day long. I never thought android virus could be so dangerous. went to service center twice a week... then finally the service care person told me it could be a virus problem.... now im ok
