If you faced a decrypt password problem you just only perform hard reset just press volume up plus power button if bit doesn't work volume down plus power button erase or reset user data

Hi guys i bought this phone(Sony Xperia M C1904) in Oct 2013 ,i love sony phones, quality and design . Been using this phone since 2013 without any problems, but yesterday (13.01.18) i faced a peculiar problem . The phone wants me to "Type password to decrypt storage" this screen came out of the blue :( with an emergency call button and a ticking sound every few seconds which makes me nervous.I am unable to do anything else i am stuck with this screen. I cant access my data/contacts/messages etc. I don't know what to do. Is it a virus or a problem in the phone chipset? It was working perfectly upto now. Do any of you guys know the password or any other solution ? Any advice / solution is greatly appreciated .

i dont use this phone anymore, only sometimes, and when i do, there is no lag, battery is suprising for the age and it most importantly gets the job done, 2013 was a good year for phones

the phone is still good at common tasks but taking picture or filming. I had to reinstall the software several times during these 4 years but I haven't changed anything related to hardware. The battery is ok up to now.

After 4 years, the phone does not issue. The battery is like the first day. No flaws.

It has been a good first smartphone, still in daily use after 3 years.
Where I was stung was the internal memory, advertised as 4GB but only 1.5GB available for apps due to all the pre-installed cr@p, I wrongly assumed the SD card could be used for apps. A few OS glitches which have needed googling to solve,

After 4 years phone is still working,is small,nice,cheap and good.

Two technical problems I am facing with this mobile. First one, Its microphone is not working after three years and I always used to press external speaker on while conversation. Secondly charging problem; I have replaced many times data cable.

I have had a very annoying issue with camera. it is getting worse. I have checked the sittings and it's at 5 MP, still the picture look like it's 2 MP. is it a software issue?

I'm also getting the 'password needed to decrypt storage' message. Sony Support's answer was to suggest I buy another phone, even though this one is less that 3 years old. I'll probably take that advice, but it won't be another Sony! Appalling customer service. If this was a ploy via a software upgrade to get customers to buy new phones, it looks like it's going to misfire, big time.

My xperia m got 'password to decrypt storage', I already given up (my phone is 3 years old), so I lay this phone rest in peace
Screen issues, bluish color.. Not enough RAM and capacity/ ROM. Camera quite good, battery very poor but otherwise it's been a good ride

I have this phone for 3 years, and it is ... moreyou can uninstall application,games if you not in use, you can empty the internal storage memory, you can clear the cache data from setting>storage>clear cache, & go to settings>about phone & create developer options in setting & you can windows animation scale select off, and also stop the application if you are do not in use then your mobile is very fast & quick to action
