That's why it's called 'Backlit' and TFT means Thin Film Transistor which is used to improve image quality...
But there is difference between IPS LCD and TFT LCD...IPS (In-Plane Switching) display panels provide better viewing angles, power efficient but costs more than TFT LCDs...

L has got a msm8230 and M has msm8227.
xperia l has a better cpu

AnonD-159619, 27 Jun 2013what is meant by optional dual sim? how much memory is avai... moreOptional dual sim means you have two models in xperia m to choose from - one is single sim and the other is dual. About the user available memory its less than 2gb(around1.76gb)
I would rather suggest you xperia l, its way bigger and has 8 gb internal(remember u dnt get to install apps on sd card) also the processor is better n the price difference is not much
