johnathan, 07 Mar 2015Sony mid rangers born and die on the version of android it ... moreWhy? Whats the difference? The numbers? Like 4.0, 4.1 , 4.2, 4.3? 4.4, theres no huge difference, its just a marketing. The only obvious difference android update were gingerbread to ics, and ics to lollipop.

Sony mid rangers born and die on the version of android it comes with. This m4 is a nice spec phone BUT it probably won't see anything beyond lollipop:(. I just don't know if its worth buying it or wait for the next generation moto g with equal or better specs. I'll see what happens...

This would be my next phone.sony did it well I have to say.hope their would be an m4 compact with 4.5 inch screen.

Finally, Sony listened to their users. I was actually dreaming of this specs from Sony, that they will release a not-so-cheap phone but with a competent specs and it's affordable.

Except the 0.5 inch smaller 720p screen, specs are like A7, + ip cerification
but m4 much cheaper than A7...

ankit, 06 Mar 2015low ppi but other specifications are good if it will below ... morewhat low ppi??m4 has enough ppi to be extremely sharp.ppi is not everything.accurate color reproduction matters too.sharpness above 310 ppi means we cannot separately see pixels.
anything above 310-320ppi is overkill.i would rather prefer a phone with 300ppi and a very long battery life than insane quadhd with half day battery.since it is midranger,720p makes sense on a 5inch screen.

An avegage eye can only see up to 300ppi, any ppi beyond that is useless, its like you have a car that has a 350km/h top speed but you can only drive it for 250. The rest is useless.
