i bought this xperia m4 model 2 month back..yesterday the display went complety blue and turned off..after that i cant restart it..while checking in service centre..they told there may be a problem in bored itself ..have to change display too???? is this sony"s quality..worst experiance...never buy this model..its time to change from sony...waste of money..

Again update from me, the update solve the heating problems is solve thanks to the new update I was browsing Internet about 5 hours and there is no heat at all only warm so again thanks Sony hope you will not disappointed other Sony user.....

After the update try to reset your phone. Delete a useless app in you phone you will get 3.22gb free space for the 8gb version so enjoy using it, I know it's not that much but I'm glad Sony get rid of some pre installed app from m4......

I have an Xperia Z3 which I will be selling to be able to add funds for the upcoming Lumia 950XL. Yes, I am switching to Windows 10 mobile but I could not leave Android completely so I have decided to buy an affordable midrange Android phone which is the M4 Aqua, I think here in the Philippines, Sony officially launched the dual sim version. I like the coral variant. This seems to be a great deal to take! Can't wait to have this phone this coming Christmas season alongside the Lumia 950XL! :)

Got this M4 Aqua dual for my girlfriend on 24/9/15. Crashes frequently within the 2 days I used it. It would turn off & I am unable to turn on with the power button. I had to hard reset by pressing power button and volume up button everytime. Sent it back to Sony for repair. Got it back in 2 weeks with battery and some component replaced. Did not solve problem cos keep crashing every hour until it finally would not turn on, on the 3rd day after I got it back.
Fed up, went back to the store I bought it from and traded it in. Lost 60% of the price I paid. Good riddance. Read on the net it is a known problem around the globe with this model. Disappointed Sony made me lost money and time. I went back to HTC. Never had any problem with their phones. Enjoying my 2nd day with the new M8 Eye.
I did not want to pursue warranty since the worse Sony can do is repair and I may end up with problem unsolved and lost time. The best is I get a new phone which may have the same problem.
Strongly NOT recommending this model. High chance you'll face the same problem. Don't go thru the hassle I went thru.

Guys I have one query.
I read datasheet pdf of sony for this set.
And there is fhd video for front cam but gsm and all other cell sites put it 720p
Whats the reality?

Most people with the 8GB version have hardware problems too.
I want to buy the 16GB.i ll try to find a 16GB or i might wait for M5 after all.

I like the phone but I've been having a problem. Sometimes after I film a video on my phone when I go to watch that video later it just shows up black.You can hear the sounds perfectly fine but the images won't show. If I try to edit the Vid it says error or don't support format.Is there a way I can see my video? I recently went to a concert and it sucks that I can't watch what I filmed !

Today I got 180 MB system update. Anyone tell me what is it. Is that 5.1 or just performance update on 5.0. Am from India and using 16 gb version.

It's an ok phone overall. Not a huge amount of storage, but maybe ok if you don't use may apps.
What really annoys me though is the amount of preloaded apps (using valuable space) that cannot be removed or even disabled. "What's New" is especially annoying. Until I stopped it using my 4G it automatically used my data to update...I was paying for Sony to send me adverts!!! And I keep getting reminders about updates available for these programs that I really don't want and will never use.
I consider Sony's decision to put software on that you don't ask for but then not only prevent you removing t to free up space but also prevent you from switching it off to be shortsighted.
