Because 810 overheats. Performance wise, X10 scores 46K in antutu (One M9+ with QHD), while 810 Scores 51K (One M9 with FHD) - but don't forget that M9+ has QHD display, so if the M9 had QHD, it couldn't have scored 51K. If 810 didn't overheat, it would have scored 69K. The CPU on the Asus Zenfone 2 4GB RAM variant is Intel Atom Z3580 (32-bit), and it scores 50K in antutu. So, the Intel Atom Z3580 chip is faster than Helio X10.

Mark, 05 Aug 2015Guys... can you please shut the f*** up about Mediatec and ... moreThis chipset (helio x10) was used in Htc One Eye (I guess) it underperforms against high end competitors but nevertheless was stellar in CPU, GPU was ok but not topnotch but considering this is a midrange phone (as sony says) it's still delivers good blow against intel/SD-equipped competitors...

I won't say SD810 is better than helio X10, since Sd810 overheats too much. Helio X10 is faster than SD801 but slower than SD810 by a little. Also, M5 has much better cameras and better battery.
No matter what you say, the SD810 overheats too much. If it doesn't overheat, why did Sony and HTC need to release a software update to fix overheating problems? Why did Motorola and LG go for SD808? Why did Qualcomm need to release a v2.1 SD810?

SD810 heats up just like all the rest, even S6, does not overheat up...
Sony just upped its midrange class with this M5 high midranger...
So expect extraordinary from flagship Z5 announcing next month.
