I bought one yesterday (Nov 19, 2015) in Trinoma Mall, QC, Philippines and after charging the phone, I tested the video of primary and front camera.To my dismay, the front camera is blinking. Tried to restart it and it goes all right but when I tested it several times, it happened again... and again and there's a time when the rear camera also blinks. I don't have any idea if this is normal (since it's my first time using a sony phone) but I would like to have it replaced right away... :(

AnonD-456605, 19 Nov 2015then having these symptoms I suggest you to take it to sony... moreWait and see. I bought my M5 dual in Singapore and now im in phils. Sony have no int'l warranty. Anyway still working more or less ok. 4k video i dont need anyway. Normal video is working perfect.

got one time shutdown during flight.
4K video player is playing greenish video.
ring tone/ sms tone / alarm clock - sometimes ringing only on earpiece, not on speaker.
and maybe wait for more..

Mangkuk , 06 Nov 2015New motherboard run very stable now. No overheat and fast.... moreMine just sent in to service center last Saturday. Hope they can fix it cause this phone specifications is value for its price.

manoy, 13 Nov 2015how to check if our M5 is the 1st release or 2nd or 3rd?there is a sticker in the simcard slot
take that out and check the date
it's like 4215, which means the phone is manufactured in the 42nd week of 2015
the second batch are all after week 40

sleck, 12 Nov 2015hey mangkuk , how your replaced sony m5, still in good sha... moremy replaced m5 dual E563 working good now. not shutdown issue anymore and no lag, heat or whatever. wish sony can give OTA update Android 6 soon :)

Buying this was a big mistake. I thought by the name Sony their product are good, but this phone is just a waste of money. Using this phone for a month now and experience shutdown once, the 4k video is not working properly, built it camera app Face in picture flickers and almost unusable. It is also blurred sometimes. My old asus phone which is cheaper is more reliable than this more expensive M5 dual. When you read review of sony other model phone also have problems. This is my first and last sony phone in my hand, never again. They are good only in advertisement.

Please don't buy this phone. Might be not all pieces are faulty. But why would anyone like to risk their money. I was a fan of this phone after looking at its specs. Now I feel like to sell it for some other android piece. Yesterday, after using it for a week, it was not turning on. It was dead. People from sony's service center asked me to submit my piece, as they have to send it to their repairing center, which would take at least a week. Now they have provided some crappy piece of Sony Xperia L2 as a stand-by piece. If any phone making company's piece can not work properly even for 10 days, then they should stop their business!
