    Hey... I was reading every single opinion till Sony released the updated..but I'm a user eho didn't got it yet! If update is available in my region,does phone displays itself that updates are available or do I need to connect phone through PC companion and then see weather updates are available or not! Please help me!

I know that it can't be remov... moreLol.... it is YOU who didn't notice the fact that the answer to that question of yours have been given multiple times.... that too by the same person. You have any question.... try to put that into the search bar above.... If nothing shows up....then ask...
      Anyways, it can be removed but not without unscrewing the case. Just take it to a service center in case you need a replacement.... dont try this at home.

        After I updated my phone to Jelly Bean i noticed lag in Subway surfers game :/ Also for my taste ICS have a more beautiful menu.

              I went through Sony Official forum and found this. Gonna try this way.

              All you having problems updating to jelly bean:

              OTA update won't work,; you need to update your phones using pc.

              Try unistalling PC COMPANION (I really mean it)

              Then connect your phone to pc using "debugging mode"

              Open your computer web browser

              Go to http://www.sonymobile.com/global-en/software/phones/

              Select your phone model and click " check for updates ".

              It shoul notify you that the new updates are available and that you need to download pc companion (the one you have previously unistalled) in order to update your phone.

              Download pc companion and update your phone.

              I hope at least some of you will manage to update your phones this way.

              *your computer web browser has to have java flash extension installed

                  It's very Disappointing that few people are able to update while rest of others aren't in the same region. Still Update is not available in India. Sony you're too slow. I doubt JB update will take a whole month OR may be more to cover the entire world. Please let me know if Anyone got updates in Ahmadabad- India. Thanks.

                          I updated to jelly bean mannualy, using ftf file from xda and flashtool. bugs from ICS have been fixed (although the only bug i had was notification sound didnt work after few minutes of restart everytime).
                          though i feel the home screens still lag, just a bit.
                          And i would have loved if you could customize the lockscreen apps, like instead of music player i wanted to activate silent mode by swiping right. In all lot better than ICS.

                                      1. will all my apps like temple run, fruit ninja,eyc get deleted and i will have to reinstall them???

                                      2. will all my whatsapp chat messages get deleted???

                                      3. will all my media files such as songs and videos get deleted???
