shady, 23 Mar 2013The screen of P isn't that good in my opinion. it has yello... moreI know exactly what you mean.... I will give another example. Play a video on any player. Especially those with night time scenes. What happens is whenever a white object comes inside the frame (say, street light, car light, white dress etc) the screen automaticallygets brighter. Black backgrounds go somewhat grayish as a result (that is contrast is affected.) And as soon as that source disappears the screen go back to normal.
Btw, white pixels dont exactly 'activate'.... it's always on. Only Amoled has the ability to turn off particular pixels... It's only a matter of brightness level.
And seriously dude... whitemagic did me more good than any harm at all. The kind of colour and brightness I see outdoors is just unmatched.
Note: There are two presets of bravia engine. On MX player it's easier to notice. Till brightness level 12 the colours are normal... as soon as we reach 13 till 15 the saturation almost doubles. Animation movies look awesome in this mode but others give a somewhat unreal skin tone (personal opinion). Besides going above level 12 brightness indoors is just too damn bright (in a good sense).

But it has a problem wit... moreIf you are refering to Camera bug (happens in last firmware update), where part of the picture is black when using flash, try doing same pics in 6 MP resolution (next on down from max 8MP) and it should be fine, until new firmware update comes.

[deleted post]Uninstall all battery saver, task killer, anti virusa and similar programs. Turn off GSM data, WiFi, Bluetooth, NFC, GPS, and activate it via Notification bar shortcuts (install program from PlayStore).

But it has a problem with flash. Only In 4:3 dimantion flash doesn't much bright and on near object it makes a black shade bottom of the pic.
And it's display can't give a pure black color.
Do u can give me any solution with out using root.

how can I save my battery? my wifi, Bluetooth, gps, sync are already off, my brightness is in power saver, no wallpaper, but the battery still disappointing!

xperia P, 23 Mar 2013Bettery too bad. Run time max 5 hour.You can achieve 5 hours on batter only if you surf the web non-stop, or play some games, but the same run-time you will get with any other smartphone of the Xperia P class (if you do the same action on it).
Normally (couple calls, an hour of web surfing, checking e-mails, playing some game for an hour or so) your Xperia P battery should last for a whole day (16 hours), otherwise, something is wrong with your battery or your OS.

The screen of P isn't that good in my opinion. it has yellow tint, the white isn't really white and the most annoying thing is backlight changes continuously even
when you have set up fixed brightness.
this obviously is "white magic"-s fault and I'll try to explain:
if you see picture that contains only black and white then white pixels are activated and there's not need of strong backlight but if in frame comes for example clear red subject that contains only red color (so white pixel should be completely dark) thus red color is very dark and phone has to increase backlight(and reduce white pixels' brightness) while overall brightness of picture doesn't change.
I don't know if anyone understand my saying but keep in mind that this whitemagic technology has many flaws and it distracts me very much. otherwise the phone is excellent and screen quality is good except these reasons.
