jd, 17 Dec 2012hi guys i m using this phone now from one week, and i m onl... moreBattery 'sucks' on almost any smartphone (apart from few top class models) if You use it intensively, and even the smartphone with biggest memory cannot give You whole day of game play. It cannot be fixed with the update because no matter what update they make, battery capacity stays the same. They can only improve stand-by time through software (and they already did it with ICS), but operations that use CPU&GPU and data traffic will still drain memory quickly.
As for the zoom and pixelation, please note that this is digital zoom, which is essentially enlarging small part of picture to full size using interpolation, and resulting picture will get more picelated with higher zoom. So there is no 'cure' for that either.

I have sony S n it performs superb! but only the lack of SONY WHITE MAGIC TECHNOLOGY.when two phones play a same video i can feel a huge deference.for playing a video P is d best.moreover,using S I cant operate it easily(very bigger to grab).So,finally I will go for P although it has some prob with ICS(4.0.4)n earphone.
the vital fact is,SONY provides different advantages in different phones.no matter how it cost for.anyway make ur own choice......GOOD LUCK! :-)

bought this phone today & after unboxing,it was already upgraded to 4.0.4!battery was almost around 0% so i'm charging it now;but it is opening.i charged it for 1 hour but didn't work.plz tell me what to do.is it okay or not???

hi guys i m using this phone now from one week, and i m only concerned about its battery--- it sucks and apart from this everything is good. But hope with JB update this could be fixed........
camera is ok but it takes time to focus and sometimes the pics are not that sharp. when zoomed it looses its harpness and can see lots of dots
it can play 1080 p videos nicely but if u face unsupported error use MX player it will play.
Hope battery and camera sharpness could fix with further updates.... sony help

binzz, 17 Dec 2012as per i read review xperia P is better then Xperia S bcoz ... moreXperia S is better then Xperia P because it has faster CPU&GPU, bigger RAM installed (32GB vs 16GB), higher capacity battery and bigger LCD and higher resolution. And beside, Xperia S cost more then Xperia P.

Sony manufacturer should keep in mind,the performance of the battery,as this is the prime features that buyers look for before buying.and with sony x p is very very bad,i am just suffering every day...will never buy a sony ever again
