Certain users that have some troubles with Xperia P expirienced it due to upgrade to ICS without erasing installed programs, and some others might have faulty devices (happens to all manufacturers). Some argues that battery is weak (because of 1350 mAh) but battery last for day-day and half when using regularly.

Rpk, 22 Sep 2012After updating to ics battery drains very quickly.i have 2 ... moreUpgrade of firmware (including OS upgrades), and every single repair (with PCC or SUS) ERASE CALIBRATION FILE.
Just be patient, wait for three days, meanwhile drain your battery as low as it goes, and recharge every time to 100%, and it will normalize. Don't forget to turn extended standby in battery settings.

After updating to ics battery drains very quickly.i have 2 charge twice daily.battery usage show that 60-80% battery used by android os.i have updated os using SUS twice.tell me what 2 do.

I have been using this phone during one month, first I was afraid about the low performance of the battery. Actually it does not reach 20hours working with data transfer activated in stand by mode. With the battery saver feature activated (this disconets data transfer when the screen us loked) the phone reach easely more than 30 hours autonomy. Data transfer would be activated when you turn on the screen. You can receive calls and SMS. Features like wahatsapp and mail would be disactivated.

Yees SX has better specs but:
it's for Japanese market only
it has LTE which draws more current then 'normal' data connection
Higher specs ar note necessarily reflected in real life, all demanding programs (read 3D games) runs pretty smooth on Xperia P, so faster processor might be more hype then something really usefull (smartphones are not comparable to PC's)

even i had the same problem...i updated my phne once again with SUS..and now its workin...no need to set the ring and notification tone again and again...
