if u are always connected to internet, then don't go for this phone..my battery back is really not good..i have to charge everyday and sometimes 2 times on a single day. if you are browsing in the play store for even one hour, then about 20% battery will finish there itself.

Been using the phone for about a month now. Have earlier used Nokia E7, C6 and N97. Phone is superb as far as specs are concerned and with the ICS update on the way, it is to get better, hopefully. As far as its battery is concerned, I have not had any problems with it. Ofcourse, You can't expect a smartphone to stay alive for two days without charging, with wifi switched on, with facebook and whatsapp etc working 16 hours a day in pieces, usual talk time of 2-3 hours per day, and music/video of 2 hours approx. You just need to charge it daily fr a couple of hours as with other phones.

AnonD-19840, 11 Aug 2012thank you, might be buying this phone after Ramzan. but man... moreXperia P has a 1305mAh battery which is a bit low for such a phone...But the battery life is not that bad...It can last you a day with medium use...It can play games for 4-5 hrs or movies for 5-6 hrs on a single charge and has a great standby time.
For saving battery, turn off auto brightness and keep the brightness to around 30-40% which is more than enough as it has a very bright screen.
Keep wifi and bluetooth off unless required and if you don't use 3g, change the network mode to gsm only.
The best thing about Xperia P is that it comes with a special charger which charges the phone from 0-100% in about an hour. So, a quick charge of 10-15 min will increase your battery level by 20-25%.

After using Smasung Galaxy S advance i got it few days ago.
The screen size is 4inch but width is only 59.5mm. All fonts are so small, no use of 4 inch when there is no good width.
The battery goes down upto 70% in just few hours after full charge. Display eating battery on both zero brightness or normal.
Phone heats up after use of few minutes.
Many major top class games got crash/force close.
Charger charges phone in just one hour but the phone discharge it more fast. I think fast charge doesn't work for long backup.

ICS is already available on Xperia P. I have seen in one of the Sangeetha mobiles store. Banglore.

You can expect a huge improvement in performance as ICS takes advantage of the Dual Core Processor and the GPU...But even in its present state, it is very fast and great to use.

Would have been wonderful it had a dual 1.2Ghz cpu. Its speed is the same as the U. If it had, this would have been the end of SGS2 and S3
