I am using this phone for like 3.5 years. It has good build quality and good hardware.
Its screen can be very bright, even one of the brightest. Design is good. Aliminium case protects it from most damage (I really dropped it like 50 times and it only has little scratches on screen and pushed back a lil, no breakdown or whatsoever) and it has break resistance screen filter.
But its software is weak and buggy, also its battery life is "very bad".
still I do have some love for it. It can even open Hearthstone (but laggy and generally closes itself after a match cause of ram usage)
If you don't use it heavily, plus dont install complicated apps (use just whatsapp, facebook, twitter etc.) battery lives more.
Also if you rooted it, you can use greenify to hard close unused apps.

if i put sim card in the phone then my phone just go off, i don't why.

one of the best smartphones i had still working till now i have it in my hand and won't change cuz i can't find its min. secs or more with such a screen of 4.0" or abovew

Very good phone, I've had it since Sept 2012. Still use it every day, battery lasts more than 48 hours but I'm not a power user, hardly any apps loaded, just call, text and occasional FB. Main camera still takes very good pictures. When storage was full of photos/video 10GB+ it started to lag but I downloaded the photos and did a full factory reset, works good again. Plastic on the bottom is all scratched but a cover took care of that. Hope to get another good year out of it before I think of something new.
Also bought a Xperia L for my wife in 2013 and that phone was a complete disaster, constantly locked up on startup/loading, poor camera, battery etc... sometimes you win sometimes you lose.

a great phone, I love it. it has been great for the past 3 years. it looks really nice en works great. most days it will survive on the battery, after 3 years it emtys in around 12 hours without extensive use. I personaly never used the HDMI. and the camara is slow, I often mis the moment.

i used this phone for more than 5 years now. battery is still ok unless you don't install apps that are very consuming.

I've been using this phone since June 2012 and only until recently the battery started to drain very quickly but I think it's acceptable as it 3 and a half years old, they quality of the front camera is of course bad compared to the phones in the market nowadays, and the internal memory is also quite small and comes without a microSD slot but overall it's still a good phone since it was just a midrange phone to begin with, plus it's almost 4 year-old model.

I'm writing this review on January 2016 because I had to revert back to this 2012 cell phone after my main one broke. Most noticeable in this device is the low battery life, it's really absurd. GPS is a joke. I am forced to use an external BT GPS device for navigation to work. Combination of the hardware and OS version makes it extremely laggy. Calls get disconnected from time to time. Pros: touch responsiveness is... decent (?). It's... small... and it's a Sony!
