Hello! I had bought a Sony Xperia Sola last year. I was facing a problem which was ultimately not solved by the service centre despite repeated visits, after which the handset was switched with a Sony Xperia P by the company. The problem was- every day, once or twice, the phone was becoming unreachable. Inspite of the network bars showing full, neither were calls going out nor were calls coming. On switching the network mode from GSM only to any other & back to GSM only, the network would come back again. After I started using the Xperia P, the same problem kept happening, inspite of me changing the sim card to a new one! So, I continue to use this handset for the love of the superb camera, sound & Bravia engine. However, regarding its use for the main purpose, i.e., for making calls, its not so reliable & I use another handset on the side with another sim for emergencies!
Welcoming any opinion that may shed light on the situation!!

no doubt about this phone buddies.... awesome smart phone ... i am very happy with my sony xperia p.... i felt it like a small PC......

my xperia p suddenly stop,and wont open,but still when power on it vivrate, and not even shown on pc,what did i do?

Raj, 24 Oct 2013P is have many problems or not??Xperia P is 'outdated' model (probably no more major updates). It does have some problems (relativley short battery time, delayed response in Phone app while receiving call, etc.) but other phones also have their problems so Xperia P is no worst or better than any other phone in the class.

Continuous WiFi surfing on Xperia P lasts at least 3:30 to 4:00 hours, so it's obvious that you messed up something (battery calibration).

Worst battery backup !! After upgrading to android 4.2 lasts only for 1 hr on continous wifi use..

Hey maxym, it's been two days since I've repaired my phone. And I did few full charge cycles.
Well I don't see any big improvements by the way. Today I watched 3.45hrs of movies till battery drain from 100 to 0.but it restarted once when I was watching a movie after few seconds of freezing , it never happened before though. I'll inform you if the repairing solved the sudden battery draining in data browsing.

Sound volume output is lower than other phones and viruses cannot be scanned by computer
