AnonD-109040, 10 Oct 2013Does anyone have this problem?? When my phone's battery... moreI have similar situations like yours, but I use my Xperia in different way, since it's my second smartphone (first is HTC One S, my business phone), and I use it for 3-4 phone calls per day, and occasional mail and web surfing. This way my battery last for 3-4 days, but if I start using power intensive operation when battery is under 20%, battery percentage start to drop fast (about 1% per minute or even faster, but when I stop it and go to stand-by, battery percentage goes up for 2-3%

Problem arise because battery percentage is calculated by actual battery capacity (measured in mAh) and its quite high when there is small battery drain (in stand-by, or without using data), but when high battery drain starts, capacity drops down.

It usually happens when battery is old (lots of full battery charge cycles), or when battery calibration is messed up.

So, give it a try with repair, and send us back a feedback.

    Does anyone have this problem??

When my phone's battery power is at 15 or below, and when I turned on data and start browsing, all the battery power drops to 0 in a sudden and phone turns off. But I can turn it on after few minutes. And then it displays the setup guide in the status bar and it feels like some settings had reset. Can I fix this after a repair or what should I do?
Thanks for anyone who gives a solution.

jamir420, 06 Oct 2013I am sorry I did not communicate very well. Get Exdialer fo... morenope... failed.. the hd caller itself does not hang.. but in the background it is still using the native semc.phone. the only difference in using the app is, it shows that the call has been picked up, shows you the time elapsed from start.. but in actual the call hasnt been connected.. cuz voice does not go through..
conclusion: SONY JB sucks.... big time.. never SONY again.

Mahfuj, 07 Oct 2013Hi, i m using xperia p for almost 3month. nw i m confused a... moredo not update to JB.. reason:

even though every bit of user experience is much better in JB, the downside will be just one: the basic purpose of your devise will be ****ed up!! when you will receive call, it will take atleast 6 seconds for the call to conect after you have accepted the call!! same with placing calls!! phonebook will lag as hell!! if you do not have these issues now, i suggest dont update, just throw away ur sony and choose from any other brand.. i am so pissed at SONY for making suhch shitty software!! what good is a phone when you cant even make and receive calls without loosing your mind!!

I Just got my old neo v repaired. Anyways Xperia p I would say is the best 4" phone ever. The 13gig useable memory have a lot of advantage, the screen is still the best and can go head to head with any phones available right now. Down side is the battery. Cams are not the best but ok for a midrange. Another option is s3 mini, they go head to head. S duos too. But if you want a premium phone at midrange xp is the one for you. Also if you Windows os is your consideration, you might try to see HTC win 8s and Nokia 720.

Your friends are right, both Galaxy S2 and Xperia P are out of production, and most probably will not get any more major OS updates, so it would be wise to choose something newer if you want some support in the future.

                            Stand-by Up to 470 h (2G) / Up to 475 h (3G)

although it say so according to the specification, the battery will not last more than 6 hours (may be less than 6 hours) if tethering, Wi-Fi or Bluetooth is switched on.
