Attention-grabbing phone! As much as I like the design, I don't favor the font in which 'SONY' has been etched. The earlier 'Sony Ericsson' font used to be more attractive than the current one.

Coming to the specs, they are quite impressive. A 4" qHD screen, dual-core processor, 1 GB RAM, 1080p HD video recording, 720p VGA front camera, 16 GB inbuilt memory, Bravia Engine, HDMI port.. all these make a very good mid-range phone. I really hope Sony has taken care of speakers and battery.

Everything said, Sony should put up a decent price tag for this. Maybe something around INR 20,000.

Surely the battery is the disappointment here - on an otherwise impressive sets of specs

Ppl the battery will last much loonger than any other droid in the market because they are using the SOC with the lowest power consumption. The NOVATHOR soc is consumes 50% less power than its counter parts. They are coming from the Power management masters who used to manage symbian AND BlackBerry power management solutions

BillY, 27 Feb 2012Obviously if they chose to give 16 Gb memory in the phone i... morehow do you account for the official sonymobile link accounting for the specifications? wrong or mistyped?
and the design seems perfectly okay, it's only about personal choices.
the battery should do well, considering the facts that it houses a novathor processor, as well the the new sony brightness technology.
samsung sucks big time, my friend, that's my opinion!

Anonymous, 27 Feb 2012www.sonymobile.com/cws/corporate/ products/phoneportfolio/... moreObviously if they chose to give 16 Gb memory in the phone it is because there is NO memory card.
And very weak battery, only 1305 mA
And phone is much too long, many space wasted up and down the screen.

Why can't they make things right...Maybe that is why Samsung is going so well, by making their phones right from the beginning

Sony, you have done a superb job with launch of xperia s, p, u, and ion. I know that xperia s and ion are out of my range but i am thinking to buy xperia p, i will surely buy it if the price remained same as 21k, just read at one site. Awesome specs, great shooter..althouhh the screen is not HD but every phone is not like xperia s..great features worth that cost..thanks to dual core processor for which i was looking, and 1 Gb of Ram..loving the phone..please sony launch mid range phones with such specs!!!
