Look at one of my former post about how prolong standby time by disabling Google location services. It's a kind of paradox but most of the battery life is spent if mobile works on 200 MHz instead of being in DeepSleep during standby (screen off).
As I already said, if you don't use phone much, you can get up to 3 days of battery time on single charge (I have other smartphone, business one, and use that one more often, charging it once a day).
When using both phones often I have to charge them once per day, and no one comcomplains about other phone battery backup (HTC One S) although they perform the same.

AnonD-109040, 28 Jun 2013Has anyone got a bad battery backup after the JB update!!?? It was bad first couple of days, but now is standard: one day heavy use, almost two days normal use, and 3 days of seldom use ( 5-6 cals, 30 minutes of WiFi surf).

It seems just as fast as a Samsung Galaxy S3. Much more unique too. Screen display is stunning, and works really well in bright sunlight. I highly recommend it
