Any... moreYou have two main option,
A: Exporting Contacts to file (.vcf) and choose direction to Internal Storage and will show you the file direction, then send a file by email to ur email, or connect your mobile to your computer and have a copy on ur machine.
B: second option by using Sony Pc Companion, choose back up and restore option then you can back up ur contacts, call logs, messages, etc.
C: third option, go to xperia home and find backup and restore application, after you finish backing up, go to internal memory through you computer after you connect ur mobile with it and copy this folder (.semc-fullbackup) because if you do factory reset or formatting by using Sony PC companion u will lose the folder, then after formatting return folder to the mobile and restore ur data by using same application.

Akram, 20 Aug 2014Please say where did u get this softwarego to http://www.sonymobile.com/in/ and download sony pc companion and with the data cable u can update ur mobile.it takes nearly one hour if internet is slow.

Also another feature that is misleading. Only ~680MB of available ram to use, which the system uses around 300mb. Adding whatsapp to the mis, you are left with around 100-80 mb of available ram. At this point the phone is extremely slow

I would like tell the disadvantages of Xperia S
1. False specification WIFI DIRECT. Sold device telling it has WIFI DIRECT feature.
2. Battery only 1700 Mah not 1750 as they said
3. USB ON THE GO never supports more than 2GB. Wont support card reader, Hard disk etc.
4. Display HD & Bravia Engine not much different from Samsung display with Dynamic Mode
5. No expandable memory.
6. Its removable battery. But false description and placed as non removable. iF you doubt me check in YOU TUBE, how to remove Xperia S battery. (May be done for Service Center Maintenance and meet their expense)
7. False RAM specification
8. Slow processor speed mobile works better than Xperia S (Check benchmark comparison on YOU TUBE).

Ericus, 03 Aug 2014It is showing on my xperia s update centre to upgrade to 6.... moreWell, you can manually update to the better 6.2.B.1.96. There are articles (search using google) which explain how to download the file, how to prepare your Xperia S, and how to follow the instructions.
6.2.B.1.96 is the last officially supported software by Sony. ;)

It is showing on my xperia s update centre to upgrade to 6.2.B.0.200, what does it mean and how can it be resolved. Secondly, it freezes frequently and automatically picks applications without been selected and screen just roll on and find it difficult to contrl it or off it. Can anyone help me out?

All money . . Waste. . Not the worth of money. . The worst phone . . Sucking battery life. . Hangs a lot. Non responsive touch screen. USB cap fell down. On - off button is not on the side. It is on top of the phone . . Not user friendly at all. Please don't buy this phone. I say from my worst experience with this phone. I am planning to buy other mobile.
