I have my XS upgraged to ICS
I don experience any issues that you have listed except the battery draining faster and I am aware that the background processes would eat battery's charge.
For the issues you better get ur phone serviced @ a nearer service station.

sadly.....i have to agree :'(
though i love sony and my xperia S.
but each & every problem u have mentioned i am facing ri8 now.
yellow tint-check....freezing on camera - check >:(
have to see it with service center now....bloody headache !!! :@

ya its a very gud mob.. 3g browsing is very fast and it is very comfortable to use this...and wen we compare wit note...it has the high features and 12mp cam....

One of the best phone I have ever used, I got an iphone 4s before Xperia S.
I found the crispiness of the screen and camera is way better than iphone 4s.
Touch sensitivity is excellent.
Overall a brilliant phone to use.

Have this phone 4 past 7 months and I can say its the poorest sh*t which I ever had!! Sony make me sick man! First yellow tint=>service>=then update ICS=>connection problem, freezing, focus when taking pictures is just a joke.. I could say much more about the phone but I dont wanna get angry and I think that many of u deffo know what im talking about.Sony u lost me and many of my friends!!
