I have given it to Sony Authorised Service Centre for Handset Replacement. I think lots of Xperia S (Old Stock)handset having this issue. Guys Please check your Xperia S handset White Screen if u find yellow tint/spots on white screen please give it to service centre for replacement.

rags, 27 Sep 2012I updated my phone to latest version ie 6.1.A.2... moreI experience the same thing,That because there is downloaded apps is still active in the background (mostly live wallpaper). go to setting, application, running services, then look for apps that you downloaded before(such as Aquarium live wallpaper), select and choose stop, if those pesky apps still make your screen on and off, then uninstall it, hope this helps.

how do i know if the phone i will buy is an old version (with the yellow tint problem )or not (a new version that sony has solved the issue of the yellow tint in)

Go for SXS faster than S2..,my SXS is three months old but still awesome and no lags very smooth... My co worker is using S2 and he's jealous coz my phone is so smart specially when browsing so fAst.. So he decided to swap his S2 to SXS...BY the way we're both ICS updated,. Mine is color black so sexy
