AnonD-44965, 16 Sep 2012the autorotate in my homescreen is not working....sometimes... morehomescreen auto rotate is desiogned for in car use and as such is only avaliable when docked. this is true of almost all android handsets.
why would you want to rotate your homescreen anyhow? widgets are sized for portrait and dont auto-scale...

I got my xperia s on friday.. I got this with ics already out of the box.. I updated it to latest firmware And all I can say that this fone was awesome!!

I just bought the phone, and its grt..Just that I cannot turn off the predictive text option.. tried the settings also, the spelling correction is unchecked.Its irritating being forced to use dictionary wen u dnt want to..Its in ICS version..Kindly help

When phose is locked and unlocki... moreWhen you have selected slide to unlock, that means anyone can just unlock your phone without your concern, so i think dropping down notification bar is also allowed, but when you select other method like pin or pattern, that means you are restricting access of your phone, so in that mode it is not allowing to do anything else without entering pin or pattern.

It is perfect and do not think to upgrade . Whaiting for Jelly Bean upgrade . And before you do the work read what may do the new firmware . Thank you Zaza For advice . I was thinking and hisitating to upgrade but now.....no way .

Sony Xperia S should be the first Xperia model to get the first taste of Jelly Bean considering that this is their first flagship for 2012 which was release last March. Samsung's flagship (Galaxy S3) will get the Jelly Bean next month and this was only release last May while SXS was March. Come on Sony, don't go back to your old way (Sony Ericsson) updating your Xperia line up particularly your flagship like Sony Xperia S.

I am currently playing with a Sony Xperia ARC, very similar in look & design. Dual-core is definitely a bonus these days with all the exciting apps to play with, I would definitely keep an eye out when one comes around..

AnonD-71605, 14 Sep 2012when the xperia s will get the jelly bean??Sony xperia s is officially in the AOSP,along with Google's nexus devices, so i am guessing it will definitely get vanilla jelly bean and if it works out well, the next two major updates(judging from google nexus s which came with gingerbread and is now on jellybean)
