Xperia S is too good cell phone,having very nice specification with 12MP Cam but the battery backup is very poor.It may be improved.....

Do the following.
First of all go to settings > battery and click on the android, see which packages are included in draining battery.
Go to settings > apps > all and start disabling all those apps which you dont use.. the top battery consumers are Facebook, maps and google sync.. Disable com.android.wakeup and illumination service. Make all sync manual and also disable gtalk and google+ if u dont use them.. and force stop all those services that you dont use (take caution in android services). Power saver is an bug in the system so first disable it adn then force stop it. DISABLE ANT radio service and Secure clock service (force stop them as well). Do not keep any useless widgets like timescape (disable it a;so if you dont use it) and don't keep a live wallpaper.
Go tO running apps and click on cached processes at the bottom. Remove power saver and stop it.
Uncheck all the gps services in location if you don't use them. This all should 2x your battery :P
And LISTEN, AFTER DOIN THESE, after a few hours GO TO battery and click on the graph and if u see then your phone is awake even when your screen is off then believe me do this.. Keep your Wi-Fi always on !! You will see then that the awake is inline with the screen, and your system will sleep better ! Android system will go down from hours to few mins..

Yesterday i bought SXS & I Can't ... moreDownload PC studio from Sony's website.. And it should connect properly.. If it still doesn't then do the following steps..
1. Begin by turning off USB debugging if it's enabled.
Menu > Settings > Applications > Development > USB debugging..Then try again. If still doesn't connect with PC studio then here's the final solution..
Before beginning make sure that you have the latest versions of your Windows updates and Windows Media Player.
1. Begin by turning off USB debugging if it's enabled.
Menu > Settings > Applications > Development > USB debugging
2. Clear data for the MTPapp in the phone.
Menu > Settings > Applications > Manage applications > All > Mtpapp > Clear data.
3. Connect your phone via USB and go to the Device manager on your computer. Check if you can locate your phone or any Unknown/New device that could be your phone or if you perhaps see the phone as an device. Right click it and select to uninstall.
4. Still in Device manager open the list for USB controllers (Universal Serial Bus Controllers) and right click each one of these controllers and select to uninstall.
5. Go to the control panel and Add/ remove programs. Select Add/ remove Windows components. Check Windows Media Player and next. Finish this guide.
When all of this is done reboot your computer and before connecting your phone again repeat step 2.
You should of course not have to do this every time you connect your phone to your computer but hopefully this could remove any error causing your phone not to connect properly.
