SeVeMaS, 20 Mar 2012No memory slot, but if you like to know, transfer is very f... more32GB of memory isn't really an issue coz you'll get to have 50GB more memory for free! just go to BOX app and there you can get the extra 50GB of memory without having to spend money for it! 50+32=82GB internal memory! would it be enough already? =)

Sushanth, 22 Mar 2012Guys, Been using this phone for about a week now. Here a... moreThere was the news at GSMarena that the ads in the Android apps consume over 70% of the battery usage the apps use. So you need to get some kind of ad killer to the apps. It will make the batterylife way better. The ADfree app is one of those apps that doesnt allow advertisement inside the apps.

                Guys,

Been using this phone for about a week now. Here are my impressions:

                Good Stuff:
                01. Display - Absolutely stunning, spotless and accurate.
                02. Performance - No lag or delay in any operation.
                03. Sony Skin - Simple, elegant and minimal.
                04. Camera - One of the best out there.
                05. Accessories - free HDMI cable, free MW-600 bluetooth headset (pre-order offer, Jumbo, UAE), extra screen protector, NFC tags.

                Bad Stuff:
                01. Battery - Barely lasts a day. The battery widget indicates that Android system consumes quite a bit of energy. Even in standby mode, Android eats up energy. I've disabled all radios but still the phone is not energy efficient. I am hoping that jump to 4.0 might improve slightly. But all those background processes running in Android consume too much energy.

                02. Not to comfortable to hold. I find the phone a bit too thin. I am used to bulky robust small screen phones. Still getting used to this one.

Sony S or Sam S2, 21 Mar 2012I really in love with Sony S but i always got negative feed... moreJust go and see it ... i replaced mine, i dont say s2 is bad, but actually it cant match the dazling display of sony.. i like the tiny led indicater its a pleasure to play with. i am not too much into technical details but if we look at the fundamentals sony is better than s2. BUT!!! never to forget samsung s2 was a hero of the previous year. its 2012 so you guys might know more about the technical stuff.

Still early to tell about battery as I just fully charged it the 1st time this morning. But I have bluetooth enabled, wifi on, downloading apps and surfing web on the phone, battery still seems ok.

Will revert back again once I have used this phone for a week or so.

Well, that's a good news, full charging time less than an hour, but what about its battery life? Is it awful, unacceptable? or good? or excellent compare to other high-end smartphones? thanks @_@

                            Just got this yesterday.

The box itself was big, unlike other phones that comes in small compact boxes. Many accessories included in the box, including USB car charger, wall charger, HDMI cable, 2 smart tags and headphones.

The phone itself is beautiful. I changed from Samsung Note to XS. I would have to I prefer XS many times compared to samsung note.

Battery gets charged to 100% from 2% in less than an hour.

well i have had my xperia s for over a week now and i can say that the phone is excellent , however the battery life was poor at first but after a week of use the battery is lasting more hour e.g. the first few days i was only able to get 6-9hours, but now im gettin 16+hours of battery life which is good that is with 5hours of music, 5-10mins of browsing, 5-10mins of playing games, internet radio 20-30mins etc. the display is just good you have to see it to believe it. calling is clear, sound quality is good. over all i am happy with the phone and would like to thank sony for doing a great job,the thing with sony its worth the money you pay for it as my previous phone which was the w810i , i was able to use it for 6 years and still working! sony = quality.

., 21 Mar 2012You can also set auto kill frequency and auto kill level on... moreThats not good, you risk the taskkiller always closing stuff and android open it again, its an evil loop that will FOR SURE drain your battery. Ok if u have Android 1.6 or something, but on 2.3 its bad. And 2.3 always closes apps in the background, it has weak multitasking anyway, the apps running in the background are just in a preserved state, not really running, they consume no battery. But a taskkiller surely consume battery.

Leave background apps open, Android 2.3 will close them for you (closed to a preserved state where they are not running). When 4.0 comes you will get a native android way to close apps, i already seen it on SGS2, its no chance it will be automatically opened again when killed with the native killer.

Spec was good, something missing: Card slot? this means can't upgrade the memory? games, movies requires more memory to save.
