Have some photoshots of the Xperia S performing under DIRECT sunlight
Photoes were taken by the Xperia arc S
The screen brightness was set onto 50% brightness during all these shots
On the 2nd shot, which is angled, the sunlight hits the top of the Xperia S, and the XS looks brighter in real life as the camera of the Xperia arc S cannot handle the dynamic range

The 2012 Xperia series take a departure from the old OMTP standards, and that does mean that headsets (note, headsets, not headphones or earphones) such as the original Livesound and the accessories that come with the older Xperia phones are completely incompatible with the new Xperia S
It is because of this, that I've ditched using the Livesound and am toting around the fragile Earsonics SM3 instead

And what about the 3.5mm CTIA audio jack on these NXT series phone, is that means we can not use our headsets from our older Xperias ? (i guess they're OMPT model, am I right?) Usually I look for one which is labeled as iPhone compatible.

I think the Xperia S is a gr8 fone. Seriously waiting for it, now I realize wot I've bin missing since I got the dumbest smartphone called blackberry.

Just had a little play with this in the office as a test handset and albeit the handset is nice, the screen is nowhere near as crisp and clear as the Nexus.

Software optimizations written by the Sony Mobile software engineering department makes much better use of the same hardware than the HTC development team did.

It is an awesome phone with better spec than Galaxy S2. 32GB is more than enough for everything (is is not a PC anyway).

Guys sony has really made a piece of cake now almost 24 hours with xperia s and i will say
Pros:
Awsome phone
Best touch
Excellent photos
Superb sound with clear bass awsome feature like megabass
Blazing fast
Intelligently tweaked by sony
Battery get full charged from 0 to 100% in less than hour
Hdmi with my lcd tv is awsome
32gb gaves u full space
Price also just 179 kwd with all accessories included nfc tag, screen protector, hdmi cable
Stylish phone with transparent bar
Cons:
Touch buttons for home back nd options are little tough but u will get used to it
Missing divx xvid codecs like s2 plays almost all video formats
This phone is going to rock this year with ics coz i am almost satisfied with current sony gingerbread ui i wish ics will be beyond imagination

And when it come to viewing angles it is not much problem practically in real life as only problem arise when you go for show off or comparison.
