It is better to keep the Extended battery mode activated.
It does help to some extent.
N yes, do put the stuff off which u dont really use.
I also havnt got the .211 update as yet . we got to wait ...

Dont u like the background color of messaging feature and contacts??...it sucks...it gives an eye sore when u will be using ur phone in dark areas...ics is much way better than jb although there are some features had been added but the commonly used features ruined by the jb update..
Is there anybody that can help me change the background of messaging and contaxts to a black color background??...plz

prashanter, 28 Jun 2013the jb update drains the battery but other wise its goodon standby and with normal usage it is far better than ics, with heavy games there is a faster battery drain

I updated through "Sony update service"
this update give me 0.200 version but facing problem of battery drain faster than ics.Also data connectivity problem.
hav u got 0.211 official version.
custom roms are ahead of all of this but they r not stable most time.

i am from india mumbai.I updated my xperia s to jb but version is .200 .
where i can get this 0.211 version.While updating JB ,i used SONY update service app.
but battery performance is very poor than ics after updating.Also data connectivity issue coming.
45% battery drains within 3 hrs without using app or using call.(I not used extended standby mode because data connection stops and whats app not works at that time)
Sony helpdesk guiding for basic things like to turnoff wifi,bluetooth etc.
please help...

prashanter, 28 Jun 2013the jb update drains the battery but other wise its goodThe latest version of Jellybean .211 (not 0200) provide very good performance for the battery in "STANDBY MODE". I have tested this by charging the Xperia S to 100% then set it to "AIRPLANE" mode. Leave the phone on with the screen off. The extend standby mode does a very good job on standby even there are still apps. running inside the background of the phone. The battery only drops 5% after one full day (24hrs) of standby. I tried the same on my SGS3 and it drops 5% in 11 hours even on "AIRPLANE" mode.So this Jellybean update is really a good job from Sony.

amazing phon from sony with amazing specs,,,best thing I like about it that its battery last for whole day with a very rough use,,,,, its display is amazing beeter then s3 and its better in every way,,,,go buy this phone if need the best,,,everythng works perfectly in this phon,,,iy played 5 gb movie very smoothly no problem
