Dear xperia s user, i bought xperia s in europe ,it was GB.
I update to ics in indonesia via pc companion,its works well. Then from .45 to .55 via ota. Its good.
This morning i update my xperia s via pc companion from ics to JB, its works smooth, better,vey nice, audio works better, lot better ram,etc. And even it has bahasa now. Very nice

AnonD-79514, 13 Jun 2013this info is completly wrong, sony US/UK/FR/Belgium repres... moreIt does not matter where it is, it is based on SI numbers. There are also SI numbers starting with 1257 all over the world but it is the UAE version which is mostly on, well, UAE. Try to read and search first.

Anyone had issues with the face unlock feature in jelly bean ? Sometimes had to press the power button two or three times to get the screen to come on.
Also, I found the jelly bean ui not as smooth as ics. Sony need to sort out the bugs in jelly bean (they have had enough time to release the bloody update, and it is riddled with bugs).

Lebanon is an independent country, Pakistan is a country , India is a country, go get some new geography lessons, by the way UAE means United Arab Emirates, MEA means middle east , and all the unlocked phones by sony quite have their build numbers starting by 1257-xxxx, so learn before posting this nonsense!

For those who r unable to download jelly bean in xperia S
1.download Sony Pc suit ---> http://www.sonymobile.com/in/tools/pc-companion/
2.Install it
3. Connect ur phone it will detect with a new software update (6.2.B.0.200)
4.then agree the following steps and further instructions
5.wait for 40-50 mins (depnds on ur download speed) to download the softare
6. after download and installing disconnect ur phone frm Pc/lappy...
7.switch it on wait for 5 mins to starup(only 1st time).
8.Enjoy Jelly bean 4.1.2 :D

I have sony xperia S for a year no, frankly I regret buying this phone, here is some pros and cons:
pros:
1- Great display
2- Good additional features "NFC,HDMI"
3- very good GPS reception, the best I have seen.
4- fast processor.
Cons:
1- ugly design,
2- cheap plastic material,
3- the screen can be easily scratched!
4- The soft keys are very very unresponsive.
5- Images quality is not always the same, specially for indoor pictures.
