AnonD-73295, 25 Sep 2012Yes please, GSMARENA you should run some benchmarks maybe j... moreI don't think you can see the 200Mhz speed difference between 1.5Mhz of Xperia S and 1.7Mhz of Xperia SL. (By the way I am using Xperia S since March). I also owned Xperia Arc 1Ghz while my brother owned Xperia Arc S 1.4Ghz. Believe me, despite a difference of 400Mhz of Xperia Arc S, my brother and myself can't see the speed difference. What more 200Mhz. Well, if I were you, just pick the one with a dual-core krait processor among Xperia line-up than to S or SL.

Yes please, GSMARENA you should run some benchmarks maybe just a small review (Head-to-Head Comparison) for the Xperia SL vs Xperia S with ICS.
Just 3 days ago I lost my Sony Xperia S, and I want to buy a new Sony Android phone, and even though the Xperia T is now out, I still loved the looks of my Xperia S and it's Transparent Antenna Strip. So I was considering getting the Xperia V because the IP57 rating makes it sexy, but that will not be available till the end of the year. So I'm really considering buying the Xperia SL, and I want to know if the 200mhz Difference will actually improve the experience of the Xperia S.
Thank you :)

I think the Xperia S/SL line is the coolest on the market. Mine is on order and should arrive tomorrow or Wednesday of this week - moving up from an Arc S - very cool phone but Android Gingerbread is a miss (I've tried updating to ICS, but there is a problem with Sony's site).
I looked at the Ion, but was unimpressed. Wanted to love the Motorola Razr (still have one of the original Razr's) but the build seemed "plasticky" to me - nowhere near the metal build quality of the original Worse, it's only available on Verizon unless you buy an International version - Verizon is still just the same old GTE in fancy new clothes.
The specs for the Xperia T/TX sound awesome, but their design is REALLY boring.
I wish Sony would fine-tune/update the S/SL line/design with LTE, Micro SD slot, removable battery, metal body, and quad-core cpu - that would be a killer phone.
Definitely prefer the S/SL to the iPhone 5.
