I too have wi-fi in my society, n it works smoothly over that...
if u r facing hanging problem then install "forcestopchain" from android market..
And force stop all your unnecessary applications..

i can tell you that this xperia sl is excellent phone. worth money for value for sure. only problem is battery life. 1750mah is not enough for 4,3 inch screen. also 1080p video is a little bit laggy but i's decent. everything else runs perfect :)

@MULWA MC- these functions are software dependant... and have you tried recording video with jelly bean os?? what are the number of frames it is recording??

@TAREK SY- Depends on type of usage, it is the first time im seing a complaint of this kind for SL. Check your display settings or get your battery checked at the service centre and also the charger. Hang problem never occured ever in my device since 5-6 months and i use dozens of apps all together, dont know why your's is hanging. And while for samsung?? dont take that name, it stinks... already suffered a lot due to samsung's 3rd class services. :)

This is a great phone, used it for 7months now. A moth ago, I upgraded to Jelly Bean, anyone with an idea how I can get my 3D camera capabilities back and how I can also increase battery life?

@RAHUL- Nice to know that, I reuqest to to check your network mode, select GSM only and then surely this problem will be cured, because it will not search for 3g network which may be un-available in some areas due to provider, not your device's fault, It will savesome amount of battery and also the network will be stable... give it a try...!!
@SUMIT- Same here, I'm also not planning to upgrade to JB
@LT26II-SILVER- And please also tell that what were the number of frames you were getting exactly.
Try avoiding background applications like antivirus and also Battery savers and social apps, You can do the same task manually, also keep a track of your RAM status wether what is actually happening in your device. And yes bravia engine consumes more power, but i do not give a damn, I just need performance that when someone holds a nokia or samsung by me... his expressions are like... AWWWWWW...!!

I should know that;-) as for the battery app, Im using Snap Dragon Battery Guru only since the ICS times.. So far, it's the best battery app for me..

I'm using this phone for 7 months now so I should tell the difference between ICS & JB.. By the way, I tried recording in full HD again but still, it lags.. I don't know if I should reformat my phone or what.. I'm still waiting for an update from Sony.. I'm might probably just root my phone if there's none after 2 more months.. I appreciate your help! ;-)

its been 5 months i am using xperia sl and it is working excellent.now the jellybean update is here.but i have read some negative reviews about it regarding some functional problems and all.so should i go with new update or stick to exsisting one??

i hve just upgraded my sl to jelly bean 4.1.2 a week agoo...since dat upgrade everything has been so smooth xcept for 2g netwrk access..wen i am on 3g netwrk ,mobile runs smoothly but as soon as i reach areas where 3g is not available internet connection is lost...and wen some other mble with d same netwrk is testd internet is running on smoothly in dat bt not on my xperia sl.....i hve contacted sony servc centre bt dey say it is d problem of netwrk operators nthng wrng wid upgrade...bt as i am using d phone i knw whatever it s,it is in the update.....the places where internet was running smoothly while on ics....now aftr jb update it does nt connect to internet at d same placess....is anyone else experiencing the same problem

@LT26II-SILVER- May i know from which country are you and please tell the version number of your jelly bean update??
Have you checked 19 fps property on your own mobile after recording or you just read the other opinions??
If not then I would request you to make a self recording and then check wether is it true r not.
While for the backup you can check wether the bravia engine is enabled or disabled while you wer on ICS and now on JB and is there any kind of third party power saver application you are using for your device??

AnonD-92209, 16 Jul 2013I never experienced the lag in full HD before the jb update... moreAlso before, i used to charge my phone once every 2 days.. That's w/ a little bit of gaming, surfing and texting/calling (full brightness).. Now, im charging 2x a day.. It's ridiculous! >.
