Sola has mali 400 gpu nd it can play about all games xcept some heavy games due to lot(512mb)ram.
It has a good battery backup bt not nice so u have to charge it twice or even thrice(only if u r heavy user).
Ya,sola will get JB soon but no idea when will it get that.
It is a very good phone in budget price. I think u should definetly go with it because if u compare it with their competitor like htc one v or galaxy s 2 they are very far behind.....that's the other thing that galaxy s 2 has more functions(like it has secondary camera,bigger ram size and it's JB update is now available in the market) but it is not for rough and heavy use.

I m planning to buy this mobile ... But i have some questions ... 1: Can Sola play 1080p videos??
2: Can Sola play all games???
3: How about its battery??? Can it last for whole day with 1 charging??? (I m a heavy user)...
4: Will Sola get Jelly bean???
N tell me if there r any defects Or any reason tht i Shoudnt buy it....

Sony is a good brand ,but what they doing with us ,we know about floating touch in xperia sola, after update ics the floating touch is enable then after few minute floating touch is not working ,there are no option to enable/disable floating touch again, it’s very bad,(we must need floating touch on /off function) 2nd things GPU( Adreno 205) is support more games ,for example if you go to play store and find gameloft games by your xperia sola you will miss few games such as Six-guns, Gta -3 etc…I got this game in my previous device sonnyericsson experia neo v, 3rd things I have install many video player I did not find any advantage in Sony xperia sola, the dual core processor is useless, in video playing (our hope was sola will play 1080p video) I have seen SE xperia neo v is batter then sola. sola have dual core processor but sola cannot play 720p mkv file.
My question, why Sony?

in india 19,990/-...i am also planning to buy this phone..!! iv'e tried this both in gingerbread and ics...and i think if you buy this 1..you should definitely upgrade it to ics..!!

AnonD-83111, 28 Nov 2012plz help me.i had update latest lcs for my sola.after this ... moremaybe the stability of the ICS update varies from different countries. i'm from the Philippines and with my ICS i don't experience too much lags. my Sola is not slow at all. i only experience a little bit of lag when i'm multitasking, like when i'm browsing on wi-fi and playing music or texting. the only problem with my ICS is the notification led, the blue light that blinks beside the ear piece of the phone. the light only blinks once whenever i receive an sms or a missed call. it should be blinking until i open the message or the phone call. also the light on the capacitive keys, it doesn't always light up. i'm positive these are just glitches on the software and not a hardware problem. but these glitches can be fixed with an app from Play Store. so for me i don't have any problem with my ICS.

em, 28 Nov 2012yes, after ics the was lagging, now do you know how to retu... morethe only way to change the ICS software is to download custom softwares. i haven't tried those but there's a lot who uploads those roms and are free for download. you can just google them. they're all over the internet. i believe there's even a Jelly Bean custom rom for Xperia Sola.

stop buying these low end phones and ask sony for something really valuable!!
