i got my sola a week ago,,,i am having problem with floating touch,,its not working in browser @ GB,,i alos saw sola with ICS,,it was fully floating touch ,,i just want to know is there any setting to enable floating touch ?? or its proble with hdware ? also if i upgraded to ics is my cell gets enable with fully floating feature ?? plz help !!

I have xperia sola black...i have updated to ics but I feel gingerbread is better cuz it slow and when on multitasking it lags & when comes to battery backup its horrible...!!!

on my previous post i mentioned about the capacitive keys not lighting up properly, i found a solution. you can just download something from the google play store. just search in "illumination bar notification". it works great, you can even customize how dim you want the light to be and how fast you want it to pulse. great app.:)

i bought this phone a couple of days back and here's what i noticed so far. i can't compare it's ICS to it's Gingerbread cause i updated mine as soon as i got home but here's a few glitches i noticed:
*the capacitive keys don't always light up. from time to time it does but it's really very random, it's not reacting to environment lighting. i know my unit is not broken, i'm positive this is just a software glitch.
*the notification led should be blinking but it doesn't, i noticed it only lights up once when there's an sms or a missed call, then it will only blink once again when you unlock the screen.
PROS:
*design is great, i got the white one and it looks fantastic. i just hope it won't turn yellow over time, but i have a feeling it will.
*display is fantastic. i love the vibrant colors and crisp display, very pleasing to the eyes.
*music is great as well, it has walkman player and it's not just for show. the headset that comes with the package is great as well, not very loud but it's sound is nice and clear, i've always preferred moderate loudness on my headset anyways.
CONS:
*glitches of it's ICS, i hope sony developers fix this asap.
*touch is sometimes a bit unresponsive and the interface is a bit laggy, specially when you're multitasking.
*battery life is terrible. i've had a couple of androids before this one and those two can reach at least a day and a half before charging, with Sola i really see that i have to charge it at least once a day.
*xLoud feature is there but it's not great. it's loud but the quality is not very good.
so far that's what i've noticed. i'm really bothered by the glitches and i hope they fix that and the battery life as well, i hope they can improve it on the next update.

Yes, it has. To my knowledge the xperia sola and the xperia neo L are the two sony phones with such protection, even they have a scratch resistant glass underneath. Maybe that is why many people complain about the display not responding properly. Well to be honest I do not like any screen guards at all on my touch screens, but this one is so well applied that I will leave there until it wears out.

is it just me or does the Xperia Sola's screen already has a screen protector? i was staring at the edges of the screen and it looks like it already has a screen protector. anyone else notice the same thing?
