Although a lot of the feedback I've read on the net about ics upgrade are unfavorable and my experience is no exception in my case little issues like hanging sometimes especially when I use tethering/portable hotspot but it's up to you. You can also try sending email to Sony mobile website. Cause I don't think having bought the phone in Saudi has something to do w/ it. Sorry for the late reply.

AnonD-129933, 28 Mar 2013In most if not in all cases the phone memory houses pre-ins... moreMy bad. Internal memory only has 5 gb but only 4 of which is user available. In any case it still is enough to store files in plus the fact it's expandable up to 32 gb w/ sd card.

Sola's total internal memory is 8 gb but only 5 of w/c is user available also because of some apps pre-installed out of the factory.

If so you need to download PC Companion from Sony mobile website onto your computer and install it. Then just follow as instructed.

I have a sola brought 1 yr back from saudi and now i am back in india but still it has no update on it and i am still has android 2.3 any suggestion or help.....!!!! Please :)

I am not... moreSo far for several days of using it, it has delivered the goods I've just downloaded & played dead trigger and has been smooth. HD videos also looked great. Music playback experience has been enjoyable too and I like how you can play tracks with cool visualizations and edit or download song info. I just don't know what phone you're using now to establish a comparison. But I do like how sola works so far.

what is the different between internal memory and phone memory?
why the internal memory(4gb) is less than the amount (5 gb)company described?

It's just unfortunate though this phone isn't getting JB update. It would've been nice to see the improvements but Sony has officially announced the line up of xperia phones getting a taste of JB and xperia u, sola & arc s are out of the whole thing. Sony says it's best these phones don't get the upgrade because their heart values product quality. They're taking into acct the limited RAM of these phones in relation to their relatively higher GPU which the upgrade would definitely have an adverse impact on once it's rolled out. In essence Sony knows what's best for its phones and clients. I will just have to be content with how my sola is right now.
