I have had this phone for over a year and suddenly the phone decided not to charge even though the charger works well on other phones.This is not to say that I've had a smooth ride with it all this while. I wouldn't recommend it because it gave me too many problems especially with battery life and memory issues.

Do not ever buy this phone....
Worst product from Sony....
Lost of users are facing issue of continues auto rebooting.....

I cannot explain how many times I have wanted to throw this phone against a wall. Luckily I haven't. Phone hangs non stop, when on certain apps it will crash, frequent restarts. Perhaps I'm a heavy user but I'm glad I finally got a new phone. Going from this to an Xperia z1 compact has bloody made me a less frustrated smart phone user that's for sure.

I have not updated my os since i bought it in november 2012 but constantly updating my apps. I only use facebook, ig, yahoo, twitter and gmail/google

for more battery backup
install:
1) Screen Filter(its really reduce battery drain)
2. Easy Battery Backup (will help you about best charging info)

i prefer you to download "Auto Memory manager" from Google Play store(better to download it from play store instead of other link) and your problem will be solved
OTHERWISE
root it and makes it RAM higher from SD card
its an awesome set sdpecially its camera,video,graphics and specially 3D sound quality

I own a xperia Sola which is updated to Android 4.0.4 my phone never hangs, but I agree the battery goes down way too fast you know why because it has a high quality display not so high. I can hardly use my phone continously for upto 5 hours when it's fully charged. So worth having this phone.

This could be the probable cause,
1.An internal display and compactability program in the phone is not working or responding.....
OR
2.The program you are running is not compactible with the phone.....
IF YOU PROBLEM LIES IN THE FIRST REASON THEN HERE ARE PROBABLE SOLUTIONS TO FIX IT...
Step 1: Give your phone a hard restart by holding down the power button key and the volume up key all together at the same,Keep holding until the phone goes completely off.Once it goes off,switch on your phone and try running any of the programs to see if it now works...
IF THAT DOES NOT HELP THEN TRY STEP 2
Step 2: You should try resetting your phone completely.
go to (SETTINGS>BACKUP AND RESET>FACTORY DATA RESET>then proceed)
(WARNING!! PLEASE BACKUP ALL YOUR VALUABLE INFORMATION SUCH AS YOUR CONTACTS,MEDIA,PROGRAM APKS AND etc,BEFORE YOU PROCEED TO RESETTING YOUR PHONE)
Well Randy V here is the best advice i can give you for now,I will try my best find more solutions for you if these ideas do not work for you.

The cause could be that a display or compactability program has stopped working or responding in the phone..
Step 1: Try restarting your phone by holding down the power off key and the volume up key until the phone goes completely off,then restart it by turning it on...
OR IF STEP 1 DOES NOT HELP THEN
Step 2: You must reset your phone completely...(BY GOING TO SETTINGS>BACKUP AND RESET>)
WARNING YOU MUST BACKUP YOUR CONTACTS AND ALL YOUR PRECIOUS INFORMATION FROM THE PHONE BEFORE YOU RESET IT.
