finally I understood that Sony brand is utter waste..every brand is proving themselves..like HTC Samsung Nokia(giving the best Windows phone) iPhone but Sony has proved its brand only thro xperia S..every other phones are running with hell of problems..even im using xperia neo v..after 1yr even small games r lagging..phone is too slow..better go for lumia or iPhone if u want to get a best and problem free smartphone.

i have a terrible problem with my xperia sola,
1st battery drains like crazy i thing is decalibratted or something
2nd default browaer lags a lot when im on wifi i dont try a data plan but i guess there will be no difference
i have ICS right now someone can give some feedback

what is the best thing to do when you experience touch problem on sola? i can't even unlock it smoothly :D i need help..

I have been using this phone for 6 months now and 4 months of ICS experiance is very good, buy this one for Multimedia entertainment :) basic phone functionality is not that great on my handset, mean to say some time Network vanishes Just like that and you will get back only after restarting the phone, This happens atleast 3-4 times a week.

i suggest all xperia sola buyer , some xperia sola not upgrade to ics 4.0.4, when you buying this phone check

Sola ics firmware has problem with games. many games work without touching the display such as temple run, blood & glory, death trigger etc which make the game playing difficult & annoying.If someone wants to play games don't buy this. I hope a custom rom will released which does not support floating touch for my sola.

Xperia Nerd, 09 Feb 2013Hi guys, Somebody plz give opinion about the Non user-repla... moreI needed to replace my small Galaxy Ace, so full of bloatware from Samsung & Optus, it couldn't up date the apps they installed on it. No room for anything else.
I discovered the Sola at Vodafone, where it can be had a prepaid with no Vodafone apps at all, and just a few Sony ones.
It has an 8 GB internal memory, but I added a 16 GB micro SD card.
I also have a white Galaxy S2 which I love, but the Sola has everything you can imagine, such as NFC and even comes with tags to change the phones internal profile. Just hold it near the tags for a second or so.
It is lightning fast. E.g. the BBS News is there, instantly. The phone is extraordinarily clear, both ways. The audio is amazing from such a small phone. Just so clear. The Sony Bravia engine for video & photos is quite spectacular. And the camera has a button of it's own, or you can use the screen.
And the Sola from Vodafone already has Icecream Sandwich installed, but keeps informing you of an update (which is the one it comes with).
I changed the "floating touch" wallpaper which is a bit dull, to Live wallpaper "Symphony", which brightens up the screen.
Sony really gives Samsung a run for their money in design know how. Note this phone has no front camera, but then again, how often does the average user need one.
I have 3 phones, the S2 with Virgin and I have moved the Dell Streak and Sola to Vodafone. I am very happy with Vodafone's performance and look forward to Vodafone and Optus sharing their Telecommunications Towers.
At Vodafone (Australia) buy a Sola prepaid for $199.
You can add additional data packages if you like to their plans, e.g. an extra 500 MB for just $5 per month - though I did this via Crazy John's. I used their sim card in the Sola & the combo works perfectly. Crazy John's uses the Vodafone Network and is owned by Vodafone.
