My bad decision of purchasing XSP has ultimately become my good decision all because of deep concern of SONY to solve bugs and facilitate its customers. Truly impressed. But still disappointed with camera quality. If only it could solve camera issue through update...

Got update today and i'm glad that i did! It's smoother than the last. Well, i don't know if someone still found bugs, but so far mine is smooth. It's not perfect, but much better! Well done, sony. Keep up the good work, especially for xsp :D

AnonD-31388, 18 Jun 2014pal, everyone face same issue but trying to disable un-nece... morehi guns, initially i too was facing RAM issue after update to .205 but now I have mostly 360+ free RAM when phone is idle (RAM consumption is 52% - 59% shown by 360 security). I have installed same apps like before in .201 but this time i have just google+ disabled. Due to RAM i was going to perform repair but gradually the RAM got improved itself. I am astonished.

AnonD-265065, 18 Jun 2014I donwoladed pc companion and it says i have newest software...well dude, your answer is not quite clear for me. does it says "new update available" OR "your phone has latest software"? BTW, what is the build version of 4.3 JB in your phone? If "new update 12.1.a.1.205 is available" is now shown in your pcc then i wonder the latest software is yet to be released in your nation.

I am using the phone for past three months... I find much irritate whenever I touched my phone lots of lags and display flickering... Same problem what others had... After the last update no lags.. But slight display flickers... Need an update for the display flickers...

well im facing some ram managment issues! ram gets consumed totally and the apps on the foreground also tend to force close or restart!

Updated to .205 and android 4.3 is way smoother now :-) thank you Sony.
I hope they'd release 4.4, because this mobile deserves that.

hello guys... there is a slight issue with my wifi after the update... (i dont knw weather the issue is with my wifi modem or not... need to check it.... will update soon) anyone having the same prob... rest all gud...
same ui as in software .201
the camera is faster in taking photos from lockscreen to camera... earlier it took 3 -4 sec to ;launch the camera application... now is just 1 sec
changing theme wil take 2-4 sec now it reduced to 1 sec or less
phone booting time in .201 version is 1min n 3 sec as recorded in the earlier software now reduced to 37 sec..
light sensor is working fine...
mobile BE is working fine..
no screen flickering...
charging time of earlier software(.201) was about 3hrs .. dont know exactly how much time... anyway less than 3 hours... dam sure...

need help as my xsp's album crashes when i open it, my free ram 230 mb and total ram showing 830mb. Is it ram prob, or something else

Updated my XSP last Sunday, phone works brilliantly. Buttery smooth, fast, fluid and responsive. I would recommend this phone to anyone :-)
Only drawbacks I encountered after the update are battery charging icon disappears when charging the phone when off and switching on the screen blinks. But these can be overlooked as it doesn't hinder day to day use.
Speaking about the camera which I see many complaints... well have to say it's okay okay..nothing spectacular or brilliant. Actually for an 8mp BSI exmorR camera it is disappointing. But overall the camera could be called okay.
Hope I helped those who wanted to buy a new phone. Happy Xperia user experience peeps :-)

Note : This video is regarding updating XZ1 to Kitkat but the working is same with XSP to update. While downloading, you might get error downloading and might be asked to download sony update engine with link in a dialogue box. Click, install and run sony update engine. Afterwards the download will run smoothly.
As Prasanth informed you that the software size is huge you will need high internet speed. Yes, that's true. I updated my phone in my office with 256 kbps speed in 2 days (total 9 hrs approx. to download and install) but in PCC if you close the pc companion in the middle of download it will get resumed next time you open the pc companion and take same steps from number 1 again.
If you wish to receive OTA notification in your mobile to update, it's your choice to wait. But I could not wait to enjoy butter smooth xperia sp when the software is already released. The download file size of update do not make difference to your mobile space whether it is installed via pcc or OTA. Personally, I doubt updating via mobile and fear I won't get all butter smooth performance and wished to work slowly but with perfection.
