I bought it two weeks back for 17,600 INR .. this phone is just awesome in this price range. dont upgrade it to .266 and u will find this phone to b best phone. instead upgrade to .201 if available. screen is vivid , camera is good , multi tasking is good , handles heavy games, battery lasts one day.. walkman player is excellent for music lovers .. records good full hd video. overall the best phone in this price range. far better than samsungs. my AnTuTu score came out to be 20924.
beats xperia z , S3 , note 2 , nexus 4 , nexus 7(2013). graphics score almost double than s3 and note 2 and better than others.

ramesh, 14 May 2014What best ? quad core 1.2 or dual core 1.7well the dual core 1.7Ghz found at Xperia Sp is faster in terms of processing power against quadc core 1.2Ghz of Xperia C. this is because it is made from qualcomm s4 pro plus which is based on krait architecture while Xperia C uses mediatek which utilizes 4 cortex A7 chipset. you can easily see it in benchmark scores. however in real life performance you wouldn't notice that dual core 1.7GHz is faster this is because of the lag and slowness of 4.3 update to Xperia SP, that being said comparing the two at real life performance you will see that Xperia C is faster at thing and specially at multi tasking. overall Xperia C feels snappier than Xperia SP.
but to answer your question= 1.7Ghz dual core is better than 1.2Ghz quad core. BUT the quadcore 1.2GHZ is awesome already and you won't find any lag or hiccups on Xperia C. also as said previously 4 cores is better at multi tasking, when all cores are powered at the same time to perform multi task, you wouldn't notice any lags unlike dual cores.

Best for multitasking. Go for quad core processor....larger core better performance.

8 gb internal in sp and 4 gb in c.
Sp also supports TV output
I was also little bit confused when i purchased sp but now after using it 8 months, i feel that no other mid range phone is better than this.
Go for SP without a second thought in ur mind.

Son... morebase on your needs you'll love the music on Xperia C as it has front speakers which will make it play music louder. has a bigger screen for watching videos, but browsing is not as fast as Xperia Sp and Xperia SP has bravia engine making contrast and color on videos look more vibrant and dynamic.
when it comes to multi tasking aside from the ram, the number of cores is also affecting multi tasking, the more cores your phone has the better it performs on multi tasking. at it can utilize four cores when performing task. although SP uses a more powerful chipset and clocked at a higher speed that will only matter on benchmarks, in real life performance four cores of Xperia C is better at multi tasking than dual core of SP. I have tested it and my SP tends to lag when switchng between apps. for instance i play zombiewood and i will switch to walkman music player the phone would lag for 3-4 secs before opening the walkman app sometimes longer.
-xperia SP is by any chance a better phone than Xperia C. however after the 4.3 update it made the phone slower and lag a lot.
=if you don't mind updating your phone then get the xperia SP. if not then choose Xperia C, it is a good alternative.

Hello guys i am deeply confused between the two phones
Sony xperia c is available for 16,350 INR ans xperia sP for 17,331 INR(India).Pleas help me as to which phone i shud go for,I am not a very heavy gamer and love to listen music , web browsing and videos.I will be doing mullti tasking, and DO NOT WANT THE PHONE TO HANG AT ANY COST.Xperia C has mediatek 1.2 quad core , xperia SP has 1.7 dual but Qualcomm.PPl tellin latter is faster than the mediatek.Also will having four cores mean easy multi tasking> or Qualcomm is much better with jus 2 cores?Also display of xperia C is qhd as compared with 720p of SP. but some are saying it looks better than SP.Your kind review wud be helpful as i am spending $300(18000) and want best value for money.

jade, 13 May 2014I have been having trouble with my internet connection for ... moreare you sure that it is not a network problem? the network signal specially for 3G and 3G+ are sometimes not stable and not constant all the time. there are times that there may not be a 3G signal in the same area and your phone will automatically connect to 2G resulting for your phone to be a lot slower when your browsing the web.

I have been having trouble with my internet connection for weeks now, my connection drops all the time. I have been the shop to check all my settings are correct and they are. I have had phone short time, and now thinking maybe software problem with phone. Any advice how to resolve this? Would be appreciated.

AnonD-263197, 13 May 2014which model of xperia sp iz best c5302.c5303 or c 5306??apart from what mag C had replied to you, it is worth taking note that you should know which 3G and LTE band your country uses. for example C5303 uses HSDPA band 850/900/2100, if your country uses HSDPA band 1700 then your 3G/3G+ wouldn't work because they are not compatible. to know what band your country uses refer to this

your choice should be betwe C5303 and C5306 they have the same features but their network band are different so choose what band your country use for HSDPA and LTE.

asif bd, 12 May 2014while watching the movie oblivion my phone's display blinks... moreits the screen flickering bug of 4.3. No official solution yet. I had the same problem in stock player and also mx player. The only solution i found downgrading to 4.1.
