I am also facing all prob... moreI don't think you can downgrade to 4.1 without rooting your phone. so i would not advise you to downgrade, what i can advise though is to wait patiently for the new firmware update , sony said it will fix a lot of bug on the 4.3 update.

Firmware 12.1.A.1.201 have been released please check it through PC Companion because only several country get the update starting today.

Anonymous, 01 Apr 2014Thankx a lot for your time ....GOD BLESS you dear you help... moremy final verdict on this phone is .. overall it is a very good phone,fast and responsive can play heavy games easily browser speed is fast and you won't regret buying it ONLY AND ONLY IF YOU STAY WITH THE STOCK 4.1 ANDROID VERSION. after i update it to 4.3 that is the only time that i experience some problems. so i will be discussing to you the pros and cons of 4.3 update instead.
some problems i noticed after the update are as follows [ please take note i only had this problem after updating to 4.3 i never experience this on 4.1 ]
1.) slowness, phone lags a lot [ for example when i open the camera app or google chrome or messages or games, it will take 2-5 seconds before it open, at worst it may take more seconds for it to open ] this never happened on my wife's xperia L when i open something it instantly pops up.
2.) illumination light when playing music thru walkman doesn't illuminate properly when your volume is more than 50%
3.) the phone becomes unresponsive more often, meaning when it lags the screen will turn off and when you try to unlock it, it won't unlock i need to force restart it by pressing the small pinhole at the back of the phone to restart it
those are the only problem i'm experiencing, well the 4.3 update has it's pros too.
1.) new camera features, camera became better
2.) wifi range issue is fixed, before it is having problem detecting wifi specially when you are far from the router but now it is fixed
3.) phone had more features like daydream mode, more themes for customization, more games from google play store
4.) ram increases a bit

AnonD-160080, 02 Apr 2014All those who are complaining about phone problems after 4.... morei think what you mean is doing a software repair thru pc companion, i have tried this but it didn't help. still the same, well if you didn't experience any problem then you may have belong to the lucky few who experience no problem after the update congratulations for that. or maybe you haven't installed many apps on your phone, if you do not install many apps or HD games on the phone then it is just normal that it will not lag because you do not have heavy games or apps that will use the phone's resources.

after upgrade to 4.3 jellt bean i had never face any problems no lag and handset smoothly so you can buy this phone without thinking alot. :)

All those who are complaining about phone problems after 4.3 upgrade request you to take phone backup. After backup do a phone restore using pc companion. This will solve your phone problems. My phone is running butter smooth, cant understand why are you guys complaining.

i am also sucked the upgradation of4.3 ,the sp hang so much for a long time ,it's lagging when i on camera ,and i noticed many times the ram usages almost full (750-820mb). any one can tell me what i have to do.

I am totally pissed off with the current 4.3 firmware and hence, have decided to get my phone downgraded to the android 4.1.2 firmware by the people at the sony service center......before i do so, i want to ask you people whether you had also encountered the following bugs on 4.1.2 :
1)quite often when i would be playing a song on the walkman player while browsing the internet, the song would suddenly change to a song that was playing before.
2)the user interface, although not as laggy as the 4.3 firmware, was still very choppy and was not at all smooth.
3)real racing 3 used to crash very frequently, while other games used to crash after prolonged use but it was still very annoying.
4)the screen often did not come on when i pressed the unlock button.
5)the mobile data sometimes did not connect even though it was on.
Also tell me any other bugs that i have not mentioned here, but you may have encountered.
Please reply to this post ASAP.

It comes as a default app with this phone. You should be able to back up your internal memory to sd card using this app. Later you can restore also from your sd card to your internal memory using this app.
