Huge Disappointment After Updating it to 4.3 ..
It Lags a lot.. The Apps Hang.. it freezes..
There is also problem in the Notification Light as it does not work same as before.. And also some items like Volume Up/Down Displayer on screen is missing..
Waiting For the FIX..
Don't update it until a fully functional update rolls out..
4.1 is much better..

Killer Boy, 11 Mar 2014Once rooted is always rootedThanks for your reply. But my XSP was rooted before and after updating to official 4.3 through PC the root was gone. So my question is there was any difference if I did the update through OTA to keep the root?

Please, can anyone tell me if my phone is already rooted then does updating the phone through OTA (not through PC) keeps the root or I have to re-root again after updating?

DJ, 10 Mar 2014hi shantanu, I am not a tech expert....are to talking ab... moreYou can still upgrade to 4.4, as long as your phone is upgradable to 4.4 you can always root your phone first and install kitkat after rooting, it doesn't has to be thro Sony.But you do this on your own risk.I will suggest to watch as many rooting and kitkat upgrade vedios on youtube as you can to get a clear workaround of the same as my instructions may not be that user friendly ( my steps for rooting are different than usual,I use 4 diff apps for rooting and updating, I have tried JB 2 times but it's a total waste,I lost all my data and contacts with JB but not with Kitkat.Kitkat is the best OS till now.

I got updated my sp with 4.3 over that i also did factory reset. Still lagging issue is there specailly for Whats up, bbm, somethimes for clean master, messenging, phone applications.
Touch is no much difference. Major problem is i hardly get 150 or less memory most of the times.

jashan, 11 Mar 2014plz backup ur data and do a simple factory reset...i had la... moreyes i think it works because it will delete all apps that are installed,[ some apps are causing problems on the phones ] but i think after re-installing the apps/games the lagging problem will occur again.

dgamer , 10 Mar 2014Guys same here my so also hangs to much plz backup ur data and do a simple factory reset...i had lagging prblm when i updated to 4.3 but after factory reset,the phone is buttery smooth!!!!

AnonD-210830, 11 Mar 2014Ok, I'm getting the firmware version 12.1.A.0.266 and haven... moreif i were you do not update the phone yet to the current firmware 12.1.A.0.266, as you can see a lot of people are having problem with this. i will advise you to wait for the new 4.3 but with new firmware Build number 12.1.A.1.192. no official announcement yet on when it will be released though.

i updated my xperia sp last week....now it lags after updating to 4.3..... it worked with the earlier jelly bean so well.... hoping for a bug fix from sony
