sony, 16 Jan 2015thanks friend but I was considering other phones also in th... moreMTK base phone are not that powerful when compared to qualcomm's offerings. but due to software optimization issue on SP it looks more sluggish than MTK based phones. yes it's true, the initial 4.3 update on SP made it lag a lot, but it was now fixed by the .205 firmware update. on the .207 update which i am using right now i can still notice some lags here and there. the phone only heats up when using mobile data and mobile data+games, the max temp I encountered is 38 degrees celsius. don't worry though all phones does heats up. I didn't encounter battery drain issue, my phone can last 2 days without mobile data. but only 1 day with mobile data and online games around 4%.
personally i would choose qualcomm than MTK. but depending on your choices MTK based phone may be better than SP.

hey im running lollipop 5.0.2 on my xperai sp its better than stock rom its a beta version but still super smooth and enhancements of lollipop
search rr 5.0.2 xperia sp for lollipop rom

XSP, 17 Jan 2015I dont care about warranty , but if I want to downgrade it ... moreyes .. u can downgrade urself .. no need to unlock boot loader ..no need to worry about warranty .. download ftf file and flash directly through flash tool .. its 2 minutes work .. lol .. !! for installation of custom Roms and kernels needs unlocked boot loader ..

XSP, 16 Jan 2015thanks if I will update it to 4.3 with .205 CAN I roll back... moreIf you update to 4.3 then the service center may or may not downgrade it to 4.1. In my case, in May last year the 12.1.A.1.201 firmware (previous to .205) was unstable and had serious performance issues but the service center people refused to downgrade it, saying that "it is not their policy" to downgrade phones. Some other people on this thread said that the service center in their place downgraded it for them so I can't say if they will do it in your place. If they don't then you will have to unlock the bootloader of the phone (which voids the warranty) and manually flash the stock 4.1.2 ROM.

I also read that 4.3 update made this phone sluggish and ot heats up and lags alot battery is lasts shortly.so buddy is that true??
