cvish, 26 Sep 2013what is actual RAM shows in setting ?? i saw in showroom a... moreThe RAM which u see of 700MB is the useable RAM, where as the 300 MB which u r not able to see is kept reserved for working of the apps. U can see this in every smartphone of any brand.

there is news that sony will be updating the xperia sp directly to 4.3 from the current 4.1
regarding this, id like to find out whether this will solve the problem about not being able to transfer applications to the sd card.
i intend to load games on this device, given the capable adreno 320 and 1 gb ram.
im considering to pick up this handset as its a bargain at 20000 inr
im content with the 1.7 GHz dual core, and happy to see the adreno 320 make its way on this device.
also, is there any concerns regarding the 1gb ram, as
devices are rolling out with 2gb ram as standard now,
will that much really be required?
i intend to play games, whatsapp and browse, wont be doing heavy multitasking.

i saw in showroom and it was just 700 MB .. while on specifications it says 1 GB ???
does it like that for all handsets in market ? mentioend ram differs and actual ram in settings ?

after three months as user I can say that voice call sound and bluetooth sound is poor. I tried fixed this with different foftware tools but no imporvemets.

Can someone plz help me. I am trying to figure out which phone I should get between sony xperia sp or samsung galaxy s2 plus? Both phones are in my budget and I am currently using a samsung galaxy fame but would like to upgrade. Can I please get a fast response. Thanks.

In terms of sound, both sp and grand are equally good.
In terms of battery life, not much to separate one from another.
In terms of gaming, sp is way better due to its adreno 320 GPU.
if your budget is 17K-23K, I suggest you go for xperia sp which is currently selling at around 20k at flipkart with free cover and EMI options.

I heard the front camera here doesn't work in 3G video call, only works on calling through Skype. Is it true? Video call on 3G is really important for me.

Bony, 25 Sep 2013I would suggest you to go for Sony Xperia SPIf u want a waterproof n removable battery go for zr.If u dont care about waterproof stuff go for sp.Same cpu n gpu in both phones only difference is dual core in sp n quad core in zr.Another difference is camera 8 mp for sp n 13 mp for zr.Hope this helps.

Bought this phone for my wife last Friday. It's not charging and dead on Tuesday. Service center is closed for 2 days due to rains. My wife is stuck without a phone. Not expected this from you Sony. Please have stringent QC's before shipping the products.
