Android Man, 24 Sep 2013i had one of these, my experience was not good, kept overhe... moreIts true, Z is the only good Xperia phone. Maybe Z1 is better, have to wait for retail units and real life experience. So far everything after Z has been disappointing, expecially the great failure ZU, and ZR is pretty lowsy for its price, it need a major price cut asap, Z is the only one worth its price tag for now and even on Z you do get a somewhat soft-tone graininess on many photos.

    For all those people looking forward buying this phone:
    1 Looks: This phone has awesome looks, looks stunning especially the led strip at the bottom of the phone, when you play music, receive sms email Facebook notification,incoming call notification the glowing led is awesome. I don't know which one looks better the black or the white one, I am having the black sp. Atleast looks best than the galaxy clones.

    2 CPU & GPU: Xperia sp is the midrange king packed with 1.7 ghz dual core cpu and Adreno 320 gpu. Games run awesome on this beast. I played iron man 3, rr3 asphalt 7 games were buttery smooth on this phone.

    3 Display: The display is good color production is pretty good and sharp, it also has mobile Bravia Engine2. Those using Samsung might not like this display as it is TFT, neways the display is not oversaturated like amoled. Speaking about viewing angles I don't think anybody will use the phone by tilting at specific angles.

    4 Battery: The phone comes with non removable battery power packed with 2350 mah. My phone lasts for a day playing games, browsing internet. If you don't play games and just use the phone for calling and browsing the battery lasts for atleast 1.5 day.

    5 Walkman: As usual listening music on Sony is delight. Phone speakers are loud enough. Ear phones are not that loud but good enough didn't try using other earphones.

    6 Camera: Snaps clicked are ok can say average quality might be some software issue. Hope Sony will improve in their upcoming updates. Snaps in day light are awesome, night snaps are little grainy.

    My phone is updated to .254.

    I purchased this phone in June and till date and haven't faced the touch issues as mentioned by many. The phone never hangs like galaxy grand.

    Now coming to heating issue, yes this phone gets warm while playing games, prolonged watching YouTube videos. I feel it's because of the powerful GPU the phone has. Those facing heating issues please update your phone might help.

    Coming to battery problem this is a smart phone, and like other smart phones it's battery is gonna last only for a day not like basic phone which lasts for a week. If you continuously play angry birds, temple run the battery is naturally gonna die in six - eight hours.

    Wi-Fi strength is bit poor at times, often I find weak signal even if I'm in Wi-Fi range.

        SP is good in almost everything, except CAMERA..

        Everyone knows the camera of SP sucks. Before commenting on this, please use the camera comparison in here ( GSMArena ). Best if you can compare it with S4 Mini & Lumia 720. You will know the difference..

        I assume you are one among those who bought SP and you want more people to buy it, so Sony will some how rectify the mistake when sales volume increases or YOU COULD AT LEAST PE PEACEFUL IN MIND THAT, YOU ARE NOT ONLY THE ONE WHO GOT FOOLED BY SP CAMERA...

                  You might choose,however,between Samsung S4 Zoom or HTC One S, as both are decent, though I won't compare them to either of the early two devices.
                  Better camera? go for Lumia's C Zeiss 8 MP and above (925).

                      ok here is a personal review for those who want to buy this phone:
                      pros:
                      1. premium feel and looks
                      2. super fast performance
                      3. no lags or hangs so far ( 245 software)
                      4. great screen ( am not impressed by over-saturated super amoleds of Samsung)
                      5. expandable memory
                      6. average-to- good battery performance
                      7. great video recording

                      cons:
                      1. wifi short range
                      2. wifi signal drop
                      3. average still camera shots
                      4. heating problem ( though not much as Galaxy S4)
                      5. average headphone volume level ( Sony want protect your ears from high levels perhaps)

                      I'm using SP since August. So far I would rate it 4/5 stars.

                      The cons could be solved by 4.3 JB or later firmware updates (hopefully)

It's a phone equipped with a graphics card unit (GPU) that too with a 1.7 ghz processor!! What more do you want out of it's battery?? It's not a laptop or a computer, it's a PHONE!!

                                Its better than Galaxy grand.. S4 mini.... Canvas HD.. Lumia 820.. And also better than Galaxy s2..

                                grand have only 187 PPI.. And the price is 18000 :p :D totally lost..

                                And TFT display is not bad.. TFT using for fast touch... And u knw everyone.. Sony touch is gud..
                                Check on youtube.... Sp camera is not bad.. And compare to s3.. s3 and sp camera quality r same.. Just litl bit difrne....

                                Guyes go for Sony xperia SP !!!..

                                    Just buyed this phone 2days ago...everything is perfect but the battery sucks...just played two games and in 3 Hours the battry drain 65%....remained 45% out of 100 just in 3hours...suggest me if thier is any way to improve its battery timing am worried about it....

                                        HI Everyone, I've changed over 4 phones in the last 4 days, but cannot get an android with an excellent camera, and a good gps all in one. Can anyone tell me which android has camera equivalent to Nokia N8? Plz don't tell me about megapixels. I've seen even xperia 13mp can't compare with N8 12mp. Pls guide me. thanks, would love to see a final solution to this in my email weird_wires@yahoo.com.. thanx n love all.
