Android 4.1.2 version 12.0.A.1.257 is new update for SP. This update has make screen crispier. Whitish tint of screen has now corrected, Contrast has increased,now screen clarity is more.

Sadly, they DID release a dual-sim version, but only in China apparently (called the Sony Xperia SP M35c).

I'm really interested in this dual-sim version, but wonder how bootloader unlock/rooting/Custom ROM support will be... Perhaps for support sake, it's better to stay away from the Chinese market phones?

Even sony site doesnt show any information on such update.

It should have been named Xperia DROP, as it drops everything. From calls to wifi everything gets lost suddenly.Earlier, phone used to go into sort of Aeroplane mode even when network signal was excellent, everything seemed fine, but when I try to place a call, or someone tries to call me, only then one comes to know, that phone drops call with a beep, and problem only solved by either enabling or disabling Data Connection. Contacted SONY for that, got a reply of doing Factory Data Reset (FDR). I thought recent update from 12.0.A.1.211 to 12.0.A.1.257 will fix up the things, but it seem only Build number got changed, and nothing else.. I must say, SONY disappointed me.Sony please do something please.

prashant, 28 Jul 2013i using this phone last two months a very good phone in thi... morereally i dont understand y you are telling video clarity is poor...both in case of screen and camera XSP is awesome.only stil images are in average range.

AnonD-127312, 31 Jul 2013after recent review of XZR by Gsmarena am at cross-roads...... moreyou should definetly buy the SP cuz the difference between XSP and XZR is not that big. i'm saying that cuz if you look in the XZR review, you'll see that the SP ruled over the ZR in more benchmarks than the ZR over the SP. plus, the SP looks better and has bigger build quality.

I hope XSP is not using any Sammy tricks "BenchmarkBooster," since it simply outperformed XZR in virtually all the important benchmark tests.

HI,
My friend just bought this fone last weekend and she faced that same issue with incoming call low sound. We went to Sony's Service Centre and found out that the Sim card was not fixed properly and was just above the microfone. If you guys are facing same problem just check whether your sim card is placed properly or visit nearby service centre.

after recent review of XZR by Gsmarena am at cross-roads... I like design of XSP and it;s very affordable but XZR is best so far and more future proof though quite expensive as compared to XSP... should i wait till its price rationalize or just settle with XSP? (i dont change phones very often)
