nd dont know why sony has provided same firmware .211 update nothing changes with just useless apps like olx and bigfkix.. update is abot 600mb. so dude if it is not updating then leave it it is useless.. just wait for another upadte.257.. in some country sony has started rolling out.. so it will be here in few days and then update your phone with good internet conection.. gud luck

ansag247, 11 Jun 2013I do not agree with u, SP is getting hanged ....sometimes w... moreuse ram booster app and put it into auto boost.. it will clear your ram at regular interval and will prevent frm hang. but honestly I had not face any single lag or hang frm the date of purchse and not even heard by any user of hang. and update your sp through pc with pc companion.. first it will backup it take some time so be patient and then it will start downloading update..

Sol let me start from first... moreI do not agree with u, SP is getting hanged ....sometimes while typing messages and then it automatically works fine... and also my updated version is showing as 12.0.A.1.211, but still it always prompt for updation and when i connect to internet, it does not get updated...

Bought the XPERIA SP in white, mainly because I wanted that aluminium frame that looks cool and makes the phone robust. The same day as I get it, a piece of paint comes off (without dropping the phone) in the lower corner on the front side. The day after, a piece of paint loosens from the rear side, at the edge of the plastic cover. Underneath the aluminium-coloured paint, it's black. I assume plastic. It definitely doesn't have this metal-cold feeling and there is no electrical conduction between the two black spots, which makes me assume there's no aluminium frame whatsoever. I'm very disappointed.

I don't have the Xperia SP but I've faced wifi problems with my 2 year old phone xperia mini pro when I first got it. All the other Phones/laptops using the same wifi network worked flawlessly. But the xperia mini pro would connect and then quickly disconnect in 2-3 seconds. This would continue indefinitely. SO I updated the firmware of my router/modem to the latest available and the problem was solved. Try updating, it may resolve your problem
